DERNORD 240V 6500W Tri-clamp Foldback Heating Element Stainless Steel Immersion Water Heater with 3-Wire Electrical Locking Plug (1.5 Inch Tri clamp)

This element is awesome! Very easy to clean. Love that it has a Tri Clamp fitting and a twist lock for power connection. Easy to install setup and work with safely. Works perfectly with a PID controller. This was the biggest element available to fit in a 20 liter kettle. Very fast heat up comes to desired temp in less than 25 minutes.

I use this to sustain a boil in a large stockpot. Needs help from the stove top to get to a simmer, but this coil can sustain the boil after that. Works perfectly ell for my needs. Would buy again. Wish I could weld clover fittings on some other pots I use often and buy another one of these.

Like the ease of installing, cleaning, as it is on a 1.5 tri clamp ferrell. Plugs in from my PID controller with 10/3 SO cable. It is expensive, but for me, sealing the ends on a screw connected heater, time, components to buy, is not for me. A "elegant" solution.

This heating element works great for my home brew kettle! Heats water quickly and maintains temperature wonderfully! Can't Wait to brew again!

Photo shows a length from flange to end of element as 235mm but actually is 265mm.

The product seem ok, fairly well made. The shipping and handling is handled by Amazon, so this may be on them. Very poorly packaged, in a thin and unwrapped piece of cardboard, inside a plastic, unpadded envelope. Of course, the cardboard got destroyed in transit. I contacted the seller to ask about the risk of the piece having suffered damages. Their reply: take it up with Amazon.

Worked just like it is supposed to, I use it in a RIMS system for brewing and ave not been disappointed. Would definitely purchase again. I am running 120 volts instead of 220 just to limit scorching of the grains and as worked flawlessly, I have however ran this unit with 220 and haven’t scorched grains either just have to watch flow of wert prior to the grain bed settling, after that it was smoot sailing.

The first one I bought a year ago used a 240v twist lock. The newest one I received used a 120v twist lock. Used in a custom germination chamber during the cold months and burned out. Used another manufacturers tri-clamp adapter because I read there was fitment issues.

Liked the fact that there was no fuss it does exactly what I expected it to do

Attached with no leaks, heats a 30l still in about hour and half have been using for 4 months now about 50hr run time still working perfect.

Perfect RIMS heater. I run this at 120Vac btw. I also use one in my jacket water heater with excellent results.
