This item works great; it mixes any liquid that you would like and gives it a foamy look. The only downside is that it's a bit difficult to clean due to the wires at the bottom. It does need batteries to work.

This is perfect to blend my coffee, tea, and even my pre-workout. I was soooo happy that I no longer have to taste chunks of chemical because of it. I have had it for several months now and use it 2-3 times per week and it’s held up great. I rinse it after each use. It’s quick and powerful, so just make sure you’re glass is tall enough if not it will spill over. Other than that I highly recommend.

The whisk rod went out of balance (would wobble, greatly decreasing the frothing action) in less than 5 months. The rod wasn't bent (I baby my frothers), and initially I could get it working correctly again by lightly tugging down on the rod. By 8 months in, it would start wobbling again as soon as it was submerged in the milk, regardless of how it was spinning before immersion. I'm a mechanical engineer, so my best guess is that the rod bearing was under-designed for this application, and became a little too loose, allowing the play to develop in the rod that resulted in the wobble. As I've never had a frother (even cheap ones like this) last for less than a full year, I have to give this particular model only one star.
