Very handy when you have lots of loose bits

You wouldn't thing that someone would get excited about such a trivial thing, but these are great! Holes are just slightly oversized so as not to grip too tightly. Magnetic base hold the bits in their sockets nicely, but also holds the whole holder down (assuming a metal tool box here) - No more scratting around for driver bits... I love 'em.

What's to say, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

This is not so much a "Bit Organizer with Magnetic Base" as a "Magnetic bit Organizer with Base".If you want a bit holder stuck to the top of a metal surface then this will do that job.I had thought that the plastic moulding would grip the hex, but it doesn't. The bit retention is performed by the magnetic base. This is a fairly weak rubber magnet affair, so bit retention is primarily gravity.If you mount it on its side with something sizeable like a spade bit, it will work it's way out.Maybe it's worth 4 stars but the blurb gave the impression that it could hold drills etc and hold them in various orientations. It is poor for anything but horizontal use imo.Also if you are a savvy purchaser you probably look at the three star reviews. Considering the five star reviews often start with "haven't used yet but it looks great" and the one stars are whining about the condition of the box after delivery guy left it in the compost bin etc; hopefully this has given a reasoned explanation as to why it was 3 stars for me but may be 4 or 5 for you.

I love these, they hold all the bits well with the magnetic strip so they do not fall out in a bag or when moving them around, or when mounted vertically on my toolbox.
