really small jar
As a swim coach and mother to competitive athletes, I am constantly preaching the importance of hydration. We have been trying new supplements to try and reduce the amount of sugar we consume and help quicken our recovery after a hard workout. This comes plastic sealed. I was expecting it to be pink, given that it's raspberry lemonade . . . but it is actually yellow. This has a fairly strong chemical/vitamin type of smell that I am not a fan of.Fair disclosure, we tend to use these additives at half strength. At that amount, we found the flavor to be acceptable. The stevia is definitely present, even at this strength we found it to be quite sweet. This doesn't really mix in well. We normally put powders in our water bottles and give them a shake. This will mix . . . but then parts will settle out. Needs regular shaking to avoid this . . . and then there is some grit when you drink.

Great flavor
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this hydro boost electrolyte powder to add to my water bottle for post workouts. This powder tastes great and mixes up well. I love that it dissolves quickly and doesn’t have a bad aftertaste. The serving size is one spoonful (included). The raspberry lemonade flavor is refreshing.

Some of y'all settle hard on flavor..
Where to start.. let's see. It smells like every pre-workout I've ever taken when opening the cannister (which is akin to this odd dusty metallic scent). The product mixes together and dissolves well enough - so it has that going for it (but you will need to constantly shake, it settles at the bottom). But man.. the final product looks like you're about to drink straight melted butter. Very off-putting. And the flavor? Raspberry lemonade this was supposed to be? I get maybe like a LaCroix version of raspberry.. but the lemonade was nowhere to be found. It's like this odd ambiguous sweet flavor.. that also overpoweringly tastes and smells like you're drinking a straight multi-vitamin. Hard. And I'm talking HARD pass. I'll stick to my Liquid IVs for hydration and electrolyte replacement, despite their sugar content. If you do go with this - make sure you pre-mix some, serve it ICE COLD.. and drink fast.

Taste like you’re trying to cover up the taste of medicine but it’s still there
I acknowledge that taste can be very subjective and for me, this electrolyte drink mix just tastes off. It has a strong raspberry lemonade flavor but I can also smell something in the drink that wasn’t too pleasant. The drink mix comes in a relatively small container but that’s probably because it’s concentrated. Inside the container buried in the powder is a small teaspoon sized scoop. The suggested serving is one scoop for 8 oz of water. Even with twice the amount of water, the flavor was still strong so it’s possible to get up to 60 servings per container.

Full of great stuff for you, but you need to doctor it up to chug it down.
This HydroBoost Powder Electrolyte Drink Mix, in Raspberry Lemonade flavor, is chock full of great vitamins and minerals, but also a bit hard to swallow. I add a couple of packets of true lemon, and the taste is much better, but you can still taste all of the good stuff, which doesn't taste so good. Because this is so packed full of vitamins and minerals, of which I probably don't need so many at one time, I will likely just use a half serving, and make it into more of a lemonade flavor using the true lemon packets. That way, I can mask the flavor a bit, and not feel like I'm wasting, quite literally, all of the good vitamins and minerals. If you are of the mindset that it has to taste bad to be good for you, or you don't mind doctoring up your vitamin drink, I would definitely recommend this one!

Mild flavor, dissolves well
Back in the day long long ago, when we did hot, sweaty work, we learned to add a little table salt to our water, or use salt tablets when just plain water wouldn't quench our thirst. Since then, a multitude of hydration products have appeared. I appreciate ones like this that don't add caffeine, which can mask the actual effect of rehydrating. The taste is mild. The amount you add to a glass of water is quite small, making it easy to carry some with you. At home I mix it with a small hand-held mixer. It doesn't all dissolve immediately, but if you leave it sit for a bit, there's only a miniscule amount residue left, which can easily be swigged down with a little extra water.I've noticed that drinking some does seem to quench my thirst better than plain water. There are quite a few added vitamins and minerals as well, which is nice.

Tastes weird, not tart, hints of disgusting
This is not tart at all. It tastes like...kool aid without sugar? Maybe? Or just a little bit of sugar. There's an underlying taste though, and it's not good. I guess the best way I could describe this is, someone took a packet of kool aid, mixed in some medicine, and then put a tiny bit of sugar in it. Yuuum. This tastes like lemonade in the way an 18 piece bucket of fried chicken tastes like champagne. In other words, it doesn't. At all.It also looks like some radioactive goo out of an 80's movie. Maybe I'll turn into a Ninja Turtle...
