My son was extremely happy with this book!

Was a great refresher before reading later novels to remind myself where it all began. I feel this format kept true to the characters and was actually impressed by how much they could get into a much more concise format. It brought the Jordan world to life in a whole new way. These graphic novels might be a good way to go for younger readers or those who don't want to tackle so many lengthy novels, if they continue this way it doesn't seem that graphic readers would be missing out on anything crucial. I imagine some of the political intricacies, strategies, and fine cultural details could fall away (which I find part of the appeal), but they will be getting the gist of the story. Just a note, this volume did not go very far into the first novel, so if you are planning on tackling the series this way it could end up being a long and expensive endeavour. Though one doesn't know what they may choose to cut out, so perhaps not.

Questa è la prima delle cinque raccolte della serie a fumetti del primo libro, "L'occhio del Mondo", della saga della Ruota del Tempo di Robert Jordan.Inizia quindi l'avventura di Rand e dei suoi amici, raccontata attraverso ottimi disegni, la stampa lucida rende i colori molto belli e di ottima qualità complessiva.Le uniche note negative sono che personalmente non mi piace molto come sia stato disegnato proprio il protagonista e inoltre il personaggio di Moiraine, non appare freddo e serio come racconta il libro, di certo gli autori potevano prestare maggiore attenzione a questo personaggio.Le raccolte sono solo in inglese, ma assolutamente comprensibili e scorrevoli, di ottima qualità e con copertina rigida ottimamente rilegata.Consigliato a tutti, ma soprattutto per i fan della saga.

Cette édition est très jolie, c'est un hardcover avec surcouverture, beau papier glacé, les illustrations ont l'air sympa, reste à voir ce qu'ils ont fait de l'histoire originale de R. Jordan (cela va être dur de traduire les pavés de the Wheel of time au format graphic novel)...

I loved the Wheel of Time novels so I took a shot in the dark with the graphic novels. I was amazed how closely the storyline paralleled the original novels and how much the characters came to life through the well drawn pictures. The artistry is well done and emotions are well captured. The story is just as good as the novels. The quality of the books are awesome with strong bindings and sturdy, high quality pages. All around this is an exceptional deal. The only unfortunate part is that I worry they will not finish publishing the whole series as so far there are five graphic novels just to cover the first novel.
