Ideal replacement keyboard
So, I should start off with saying that a couple of keys on my laptop failed; hense the reason I bought this product. So, first off, it comes in a nice looking box. It comes in plenty of packaging so the chances of it being damaged has been minimised. A nice little note from the developer of the keyboard as well. First impressions is that it's lightweight. I mean really light. I can balance it on my index finger for way over 30 secs without any issues. The hinges on opening it up are also well built. A lot of thought has gone into it. The mechanism that opens up the keyboard looks like it's been designed to help with any impact they might happen (dropping it for example). They also have been designed to that you can't easily force the hinge too far the wrong way. However, it does look like that if you got some foreign material into the hinge (dust, fluff, etc.),it would be making opening the keyboard hard. If that happens, then it won't work at all. There doesn't seem any way to take it apart to clean it. This is mainly aimed at people that want to repair instead of replacing goods. As it's a mechanical hinge, you do get a nice clicking sound when it opens. It's also missing feet at the back so you can't have a slightly raised keyboard like you could with a normal keyboard. You'll have to rest it on a small A4 pad or book to be able to adjust it. Upon opening it, its a full sized keyboard. None of this fiddly smaller keys where mistakes can be made while typing. It also doesn't turn on until both sizes are open; that's a nice design incase you accidentally have one side open so it won't waste any power. I can understand in trying to keep it small but looking at it, I think I would of preffered having a slighter taller keyboard with their individual F keys at the top. You have to press the Fn key before the button associated with the F key. Connecting to another 3 devices is also nice feature. I've tried it and you can swap between the 3 devices by pressing the associated orange button and you can carry on typing with no issues. The battery lasts for a long time once it's charged. I've been gaming with it for several hours a day, averaging 1.5hrs over the past month without it being charged. That saves another cable that I would have to carry with me. While I remember, it's a USB-C charger so it can be charged using your phone cable if needed. The only major downside is that... I can't really think or see of one! Overall, it's a nice portable keyboard that will meet your needs. I believe that you get a good value for money that also provides a stable connection. It's compatible with Android devices (tablets, phones) and win11. I don't own an apple device so I could check.

Great Foldable Keyboard
I had ordered the Protoarc XK04 to replace my Samsung Trio 500 keyboard, which I mainly use with the tablet but occasionally use in my office setup, however it was too small. This keyboard seemed the next logical step up as I didn't really need a trackpad. I wanted a small, foldable keyboard to use on the go as part of my editing flow as well as part of my office setup, and while this is longer that the Trio 500 it is more compact once folded. Clearing up desk space when not being used. I am really impressed with the quality and feel of this keyboard, the keys feel sturdy and the feedback while typing is good. Pairing to 3 devices was a a simple affair, battery life is excellent and it's compatible with windows laptop, Samsung Tablet and iPad Mini. Depending on which device is connected you have keys for both Windows and MAC/iOS. An added bonus is having screen capture, device lock and settings keys on the number pad. Simple things but pleasing. Downside is it doesn't have an on/off switch however when you fold it, it does switch off. I assume that if you leave it open and not connected to a device it powers itself down but I wasn't able to find anything in the manual or support if that is indeed the case. I have been using this keyboard for awhile now and love it. Great for just putting in the bag and taking it with you on your travels and works well in an office setup.

Really close to 5 stars; well worth considering
So this just arrived today and so of course I had to take it for a spin. I have more than a few portable keyboards, but only one that folds, and that one turned out to be a disappointment, so I was really looking forward to trying a full-size folder where all the keys are full sized. There are just a few nits (that may just be my preferences) that keep me from giving it 5 stars, but I have to say that overall I quite like this keyboard. I have some sympathy for the reviews that mentioned the keyboard not being angled at all-- I found myself happier if I slid magazine or something under the top edge to give it a low angle. But the keyboard is still quite usable flat on the desktop. One thing that really is improved by a slight angle is that there is a raised edge just below the space bar. This edge runs along the entire bottom of the keyboard, but is lower around the spacebar than on either side of it. When the keyboard is flat on the desk even this low edge can be noticed, but with a slight angle I no longer notice it. It occasionally results in a missed space while typing, so you may want to do something to give a slight angle as I found that made missing the space a lot harder. The keys are generally firmer than most of my other portable keyboards; they need a good press, and I have to wonder if that will result in fatigue eventually. In the short term, I find this property is actually helping with my typing accuracy, and again is improved if I give the keyboard a slight angle. There are dedicated keys for screenshots, OS settings, and lockscreen, which I find to be nice touches, but I have to say I've mashed the screenshot button accidentally a few times already when reaching for the backspace key. The screenshot function can be deactivated with esc, so it isn't a big deal, but it has happened twice so far. Hopefully it won't become a nuisance. I'm finding that I'm wishing for a wider left shift key. They do have a 3/4 sized keycap for the #~ key, and I kind of wish that were also the same for the \| key, which would allow the left shift to be a bit wider. I'm finding myself hitting that key sometimes when I want the shift, and that's a small irritation. But those complaints are overshadowed by the fact that all the rest of the keys are full size, and there is no interfering ridge around the seam where the keyboard folds. It's a worthwhile trade in my book for these small flaws (that could be found on some regular UK keyboards) for one that's portable. Connecting was simple and followed the instructions accurately. You almost don't need the manual, as it follows a common short press/long press semantic that lots of other devices do. Finally, folding/unfolding: the keyboard folds nicely into a reasonable protected package, but it might be nice to have an aluminum bodied option if you carry bag isn't the most friendly to devices. I'm not saying it's fragile, but you don't get an excessive sense of sturdiness, and the case can flex a bit when closed, so I do hope that life in my bag isn't too rough. The magnets that hold the keyboard closed are strong enough that accidental opening isn't likely in most situations, which should protect both the keys and keep power from coming on when it isn't needed. When opened, you should expect to place this on a solid surface: as others have mentioned, it doesn't work well laps. But overall I'm quite happy with this keyboard as it seems to provide one of the best portable options I've come across. It's not without its faults, but many can be overcome with bit of elevation. If I was to ask for changes, I'd want a wider left shift, swapping the screenshot and delete keys, a bit of a tilt to avoid missing the spacebar (or a lower edge along the space bar), an option for a more rugged body, and red backlights for the keys. But none of these will be keeping from making this my primary portable keyboard.

XK01 Superb quality full-size keys. Uniform weight and action across the board.
I particularly appreciate the full-sized keys. Square and regular with rounded corners. Just what you would expect as a modern-day computer user. I don't much fancy the recent circular keys manufactures are going with - We aren't using mechanical typewriters anymore :) Every key responds with the same predictable pressure and travel. Larger keys respond equally well wherever they are pressed. The keyboard is as loud or as quiet as you want it to be. Just pace yourself on that. The layout for a UK QWERTY keyboard is about as generic and usual as you could wish. And that is a WONDERFUL thing. Everything (within reason) is where you would expect it to be. This is a folding keyboard for portability. I can see the benefit of this immediately. I can see how wonderfully it folds down for convenient storage and travel. But you know what? I will be using this permanently as my desktop keyboard - I just hate typing on laptop keyboard because that means I can't have the laptop screen equidistant to second screen. The XK01 is engineered and constructed extremely well. When you have one, just see how little, if any wiggle occurs across the axis of the hinges. The Bluetooth pairing and switching between 3 host devices is marvellous and works flawlessly. I can be typing in Word on Windows one moment, press Bluetooth2 button, and be typing into my shopping list on my Android pone in under 5 seconds. Flawless. I have used a lot of keyboards in 35 years of coding and engineering. This keyboard is a quality thing. And you know what? I got it with an online Amazon discount code as well!.

This is amazing full fledged foldable keyboard with exact typing experience like on Apple keyboard
I needed a portable full-sized keyboard for working while travelling and at remote locations when visiting clients. I have tried two other foldable keyboards here on Amazon, but they all have one main issue. The keys were cut where the keyboard folds. Each one I tried felt like a compromise; I would need to relearn how I type to use them. I'm used to typing on my favourite ancient Apple keyboard from 2008, and the ProtoArc is an exact replica of the spacing and position of keys. You can see the size comparison in the attached photos. The only difference is the function keys are organised vertically between the Enter and Numpad. The arrow keys are pushed below Right Shif, but that's it. Everything else feels to be in the same position. Even the key travel is perfect. It didn't take any effort to start typing on the ProtoArc keyboard with the same accuracy as on the Apple keyboard I use daily. The bonus is that the function keys in the top row are really useful. I miss these on the Apple keyboard while using Windows; thus, having them on the ProtoAcr makes the keyboard even better. The Bluetooth pairing is a doodle. It connects immediately when you open both sides of the keyboard, and you can start typing immediately. There is no delay. When you close either side of the keyboard, it turns off. Switching between the sources is a simple press of a button marked Bluetooth 1, 2, 3. It switches and reconnects immediately. It works extremely well, between two Windows laptops I tried and my Pixel 7 Pro phone. The only downside, if you could call it that, is that the body is made of plastic. It feels good, but an aluminium body would be a welcomed improvement. The more important improvement that is a must for the next version is to add small support legs at the back to angle the keyboard towards you by a few degrees. It would make the typing experience perfect because now it lays too flat. Luckily a magazine or a thin book will sort that out easily. You can also use the keyboard while charging, with the charging port (USB C) located nicely on the top side. All in all, this is the best foldable keyboard available on Amazon and possibly anywhere else. If you need a portable keyboard, just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

It's a really good keyboard and is exactly what you expect!
It is exactly as you expect..! It's wireless. Folding and uses USB C to charge and feels really good for a slim keyboard. I don't notice any latency whatsoever while I use it at all. I love the layout, ISO format with 106 keys is exactly my preferred layout. I hate the ANSI layout where the enter key is similar to shift and is small. This isn't that and it's the full sized enter key along with a numpad, love it! It has 3 Bluetooth pairs you can easily swap between using with the orange keys in the top right side. They're great and let's me swap between my steamdeck and my computer and laptop with no fuss whatsoever! Been using it for a few days now and I haven't had to recharge it since buying it. Absolutely love how the keyboard turns on automatically when I open it and turns off when I close it. Plus magnets! My only criticism is just 3 main things but this is only from what I prefer myself so I won't reduce the stars cause I'm really just nitpicking. The key printing is stickers, so over time these stickers might peel/wear off, especially with someone who has really acidic hands. For this price I would have expected it to be a layer of ABS for the printing. This can be fixed though by buying a pack of keyswitch stickers in the future anyhow. The home, end and page up and page down keys are good...but I would prefer the home and end keys to be swapped to the delete and insert keys as I use them the most. Though this is just a preference of where they are on the keyboard. They still exist it's just I'm used to the delete key to be on the right of enter. Not above the backspace. Another thing would be that I wish there was some way I can lock the hinges to keep the keyboard flat if I'm using it on my lap. This is a flaw with many folding keyboards, I just wish this could have went the extra mile by providing maybe some plastic clips to put into the sliding hinge bit to stop the keyboard from folding.

Superb! Completes my hot-desking equipment!
Absolutely no complaints from me. I bought this keyboard as I returned to work but immediately got back/shoulder/neck ache because I was using my laptop without a stand/separate keyboard causing poor posture when working. I needed something which was small, light weight but substantial enough to use in professional settings wherever I set up to hot desk. This keyboard folds nicely, I like the metal casing, it connects straight away whenever I get my laptop out, it is narrow so fits well on a small coffee table, it fits easily into my laptop back pack. I wouldnโt be without it. I bought keyboard riser feet separately which perfect my work station set up. I did read some reviews about the product ceasing to work after a while but mine is all good two months after purchasing it. The product material also comes with a message about the confidence the seller has in their product and an invitation to contact them should any problems do happen to occur which reassured me that there is a willingness to provide good after sales support. I am so pleased with this fold up keyboard and love to use it in front of colleagues to demonstrate how functional it is. Iโve definitely seen mobile sales people sneaking envious looks while Iโve been out and about. Iโm so happy I can work independently without getting a sore neck now. Highly recommended and a great price too if you are funding this yourself.

shockingly good
This keyboard is great, oddly nice typing feel, lots of function keys like screen cap and settings and other special keys that take a little getting used to but once you use it for a little, it is a shockingly good keyboard. when folded, it is fairly secure and still easy to open and layout. It folds up to about half the size. The batter life is great and lasts a long time. It can connect up to 3 devices and makes a great travel keyboard. I have a Logitech Master Key that stays on my desk and I use this keyboard to quickly switch between my server, laptop, and desktop. Pair with a remote device mode and you can increase productivity to a ridiculous degree.

Great keyboard, even better customer service
Been using this keyboard semi-regularly for the past 4 months now, only charged once when I first got it so it has yet to run the battery dry. It's light, maybe around the weight of a smartphone and about 1.5x bigger when folded. It's not gonna fit in your pants pocket but does fit snugly in my tablet case when packed. Keys are full sized but short, a little over 1mm of travel with a crisp but quiet press, no mush. Feels like a good laptop keyboard, but might be unfamiliar if you're used to chunkier keys. Bluetooth switching is pretty fast, I think this depends more on your devices though. I don't usually write reviews, but the customer service was massively helpful and convinced me that this is a product that has some care put into it. The keyboard recently developed some non-functional keys, and once I contacted ProtoArc support they sent me steps to see if it could be fixed, and when that didn't work they promptly sent me a replacement XK01, free of charge. All that took place in less than 3 days, with delivery taking another 2. If that's not above and beyond service then I don't know what is. On sale, this is almost a steal.

Great foldable keyboard with USB-C charging
Great foldable keyboard, full-size so has a numpad as well which is a nice rarity among foldable keyboards, the most important part is that it uses USB-C charging unlike so many other foldable keyboards and was the main reason I went for this one Keys feel great and responsive, has the ability to connect to 3 different things so you can hotswap between a phone, gaming console, tablet etc at the click of a key Overall high quality and feels great to use.
