Excellent value
Having become more interested in cooking these days, I was attracted to a recipie for spatchcock chicken, so I needed a tool to do the job, but would not cost a lot. These had good reviews and were in my price range and very quickly and cleanly dealt with the chicken. I can see their future use in cutting through leg joints = which I struggle to do well with a knife, but I'm not so sure about cutting vegetables - I have not tried this yet because I think a knife would be quicker.People with small hands may find then a little difficult to span initially; other than this I would thoroughly recommend them.

NOT FOR PROFESSIONAL USE, a good toy for the kitchen at home
I usually chop/slice about 15,000-17,000 chicken wings a month for the restaurant I work in and bought these to take the strain off my wrist. Terrible purchase. They DO NOT work on raw chicken. The skin gets caught up in the blades and they simply cannot cut. I guess it’s fine if you are trying to cut cooked chicken in the kitchen at home but for professional work they are useless

OK - as long as you have a proper pair of scissors handy as well.
These scissors cut effectively only if the item being cut is of sufficient thickness. I tried to cut open a sachet of ready mixed custard powder and it made a right pig's ear of the process. Thicker items are much better (so I am not returning them) but these are not the only scissors you will need in the kitchen. The item description asks the question: "Why use many utensils when you can just use one?". The answer is that you cannot use just this one for all purposes.

Cuts Bone
Brought these to cut the wings off of ducks. After plucking them we needed to remove the wings, head and feet. They cut through the bones with little resistance once we found the best position. Took a little getting used to but worked well. Sharp and does the job

Ok but...you get what you pay for
Just received these together with a very similar product (made by Semteng and twice the price). To be honest - you get what you pay for. The handles are plastic and not well formed around the steel making them uncomfortable to hold. The steel is 3mm not 4mm (as claimed) which makes them lighter but not as robust. The rear clip is a little fiddley and cheaply made. Packaging is crude but sufficient. The Semteng shears are far superior in every way and I would suggest you take a look at these before making a purchase.

Great buy for that price!
It looks like a expensive poultry shear and works like one. I cannot say how long it will last of course but it looks very well built and the materials are nice also. I have 2 poultry shears that I used for many years and they were both way more expensive . I am happy with this shear and expect it to last for a decent period of time. Surely recommend.

This item really does do the job!
I used this item to cut up chicken carcases, including the bones. The bones were for soup stock. They handled all of the bones with great ease. Just as good, if not better than more expensive items offered to do the same job. The item was sent promptly and delivered as quickly as possible.

OK on bone, terrible on flesh and skin
These do OK at cutting through the joints of a chicken or the ribs. However they only really chew at the flesh and skin rather than cutting properly. Since a chicken is made of all these things having shears which only cuts one of them well isn't really helpful. The black parts of the handles were also poorly aligned with the steel parts on my particular pair, making them uncomfortable to use.
