WineAway - 60ml Bottle - Red Wine Stain Remover

After reading the ratings of this red wine stain remover I felt excited at the prospect of removing a stain from my cream carpet. I had already tried with another well known product but the stain was still visible.The item arrived promptly and after following the instructions to the letter, was disappointed that on first attempt it made little or no difference. Two further attempts were made but a faint tinge of pink was left, so the stain wasn't completely removed.Whether or not the reason was that I hadn't gor the product when the stain first ocurred and the delay meant it wasn't so effective I just don't know. I've since bought something completely different and it has im[roved the appearance to almost invisible.

Tiny bottle that recommends you repeat the process if it doesn't work the first time. I would have if there had been any left! The wine had dried in after my clumsy friend had been out on a night out. Someone had hugged him and spilt half their glass down his back and he also managed to have spots dotted around the front and sleeves (I know! What a messy night that must have been!). It was a white cotton sweatshirt type thing. When I sprayed it on, the wine immediately went blue so I was hopeful that something would happen. I then put it on a long hot wash but alas the stains were still there. I've only given one star because although it faded the stain, it's still a stain, so it didn't work. Don't know what I'm going to do now. The (very expensive) top is currently in a bucket of water till I can come up with another plan.

A very good product. I spilt red wine on a yellow turtle neck sweater and this product very nearly gets all of the stain out. I can still see an ever so slight stain when I hold the sweater up to the light, but its hardly noticeable. I will was again and see what that does.

Needed more product!!

Works absolutely fabulous. If you travel to the states, much cheaper their - check usa amazon to see the difference. Buy a bigger container if you can. Works like magic

I had knocked over a glass of red wine on to our beige carpet and although I blotted it up and treated with a stain remover, you could still see a large discoloured patch on the carpet. But I used the WineAway as per the instructions - sprayed it generously all over the area, left for a few minutes and then went over with a damp cloth - and great result - stain totally gone, even though it had been a week since the 'accident'!

Had already blotted carpet after red wine spill, also used 1001 cleaner, but WineAway cleared the residue satisfactorily. Not sure how it would be if used immediately (at least I'll have it available immediately for the next time!).

this product worked very well on red wine stains on a pale carpet. Did not entirely remove the stains but made them much less noticeable
