When I started my cardiothoracic journey I bought the first edition and as I studied for my fellowship exams I still had and read the very same book.Now, the 2nd edition has arrived and it remains just as valuable for anyone who is studying in this field, those about to finish, and as a reference for those of us who continue in practise.The content remains simple to digest, the pictures informative and the update of the studies summarised at the end of every section is invaluable for those refining the current state of play in the field of cardiac surgery.An excellent book that I will continue to recommend to all those interested in the field of cardiac surgery.
