This is a heavy and high quality ceramic pot. I use it for soup at least once a week. It is also a very attractive design. After watching the Martha Stewart documentary I was inspired to purchase something from her, I don't mind contributing to her empire at all. Also, this was the same as the more expensive pot. When this arrived I was happy with the quality. Then I discovered how amazing this pot is for making soup. I have made a lot more soup in large batches, and freeze portions to use later, saving me significant money on meals. I believe it can also be used for other things, but for me it is my go to soup pot. Thanks Martha!
