CRAFTSMAN V-SERIES Ratchet, 1/4 Inch Drive, 80-Tooth, Flexible Head XL (CMMT86303V)

This was a purchase for my husband to use at work. He says it works great for everything he uses it for.

Had to replace my 20 year old craftsman ratchet with a newer one. Knew I wanted something a little nicer than what you can get at the hardware store so I went with the V-Series. So far I like it and has performed well.

I thought when ordering this that it had the ball and indent on the swivel head to help hold it in the position but upon receiving it I found it did not! Still a good ratchet just kinda bummed.

Fit and finish is good and the long handle and flex head allow good access and excellent leverage.

Perfect length. Solid flex head with no play. Very happy.

Solid tool. Longer handle provides more torque for the bigger jobs. The higher tooth count in the ratchet allows for access in tight spots where there might not have been access before.

In my opinion, and I could be wrong, a 9” overall length (roughly a 7.5” handle, excluding the ratchet’s head) does not really constitute a long handle ratchet. When I saw this, I was a bit disappointment. The sheer fact that the length of this tool is no where to be found on any website seems a bit deceiving as well. 🧐🤔I haven’t put it through the fire yet, but it seems like a good tool for mid-duty work. I don’t know if it’s rugged enough for heavy duty/professional work, but the packaging says full lifetime warranty.. If Craftsman stands by this, it could possible be an investment that’ll pay its self off in the long run.Will update with more use though. Happy fixing!

Still a good quality tool.. an all three are my go to ratchets. If you need a good ratchet an need maximum strength for tight space here is your tool..!!!
