Don’t overlook the value of good footwear!
I cannot express how comfortable these feel on your feet. Imagine a high-end wetsuit cushioned over your feet. I wear 10.5 wide and purchased the size 11 men’s. They fit perfectly. I was hesitant to try these because they look heavy in the photos. They are not weighty only made with very strong durable materials. Before purchasing the Seasoft Sunray I tried a medium priced TUSA bootie around the same time but returned them because my TUSA bungee straps kept slowly slipping down my ankle. (Sorry TUSA)The number one substantive reason to buying a shoe is to protect your feet. The second is cosmetic style. You can have both These are exactly what I hoped they would be. After trying the Seasoft Sunray, I was instantly sold on this pair. It’s what I describe as a hybrid. They are durable as a high-end tread of a light weight work boot with the look and feel of a soft water sock. Thanks to the quality ankle design my fin straps never budged or readjusted after minutes of hard kicking. I literally tried to kick them off my feet. The tread itself is so solid I can walk over hard gravel and uneven porous rocks with ease. I wish I had these when I lived in Jamaica because the less expensive styles of booties I wore were nerve wracking especially if you use them for adventurous excursions. Example, while walking the beaches I was always concerned about sea glass, urchins, sharp coral, or other hazards that can pierce through cheap rubber soled booties. I decided upgrading so I can have confidence of holding my fins securely when diving or snorkeling, yet wear them on the beach without worrying what might injure my feet walking along the shoreline/seabed. I know from experience one small mishap to your feet can ruin your plans for several weeks. Lastly, they do grip the deck of a boat. It’s just one less concern to think about. In fact, they are great for fishing or sailing.I have not experienced the zipper slipping as with one review. I understand everyone is made differently. For this reason, I can only share my experiences as having highly positive with more than satisfied results. If you considering this pair don’t overlook the value and quality of a good investment.

The only dive boot I wear while wading through the surf!!
I've been wearing the Seasoft Sunray Boots for past 8 or so years.I use the while wading through the surf Treasure hunting with my Underwater Metal detector.I first put a very thin sock on, then I Pre wet these, slip my foot in and im set for about 8 hrs of walking through some of the toughest terrain at times, Whether Moss covered rocks in streams and rivers, or rocks and shells in the surf, along with your occasional broken glass, sharp metal etc.I love em and wont be without them... however they do have a slight issue.Zippers are great until they get packed with sand. and they can be tough to unzip... I've NEVER broken a zipper before.... I put a little wax on them time to time to help..again I like to prewet mine first, but that's up to you. These are like wearing New Balance sneakers in the water... very comfortable... Just rinse the saltwater from them, You know the way you should with anything that contacts saltwater, especially dive gear. These fit just like a shoe and sizes are perfect with a thin sock..im in Central Florida so no need for a 3mm or thermal sock, so I cant say if you'll need to size up or not.Nothing compares to these IMO for over 8 years of wearing them

Great Boots!
Great dive boots. I have very wide feet, typically wear a 4E from New Balance for sneakers. These are one of the few boots that work on my feet. The sole is very rugged and worked great for shore diving in Bonaire. You can easily walk on the iron shore. One thing to note, if you are moving from a thin sole boot to these, you migth need to get the next size fin, the sole is rather thick.

Great heavy soled short dive boots
I bought these to replace full size boots with thicker neoprene I own that are made by the same company. I have been diving over 30 years with this brand of boot and this is only my third pair. I used to do 100 plus dives per year, but now, at 69, I am down to between 30 and 50. I have never had an issue with this brand of boot other than normal wear and tear over time. The second pair are still in good shape and I will save them for cold water. I love the thick and very supportive sole and foot bed. Yes, they cost a bit more than some other brands up front, but when you consider the comfort, support and durability, it iws more than worth the price.

SeaSoft SunRay Scuba Boots are the Bee's Knees for the Serious Tropical Seas Diver!!
Seasoft Sunray Scuba Boots are the Bee's Knees!! I've owned a pair of these scuba boots for over 5 years. They have protected my feet in the Gulf of Mexico, Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Cozumel, Bali and Komodo Islands. Light weight and with arch support and heavy soles, their comfort is more akin to wearing a hiking shoe than a scuba booty. When your shore diving along the volcanic rocks of Tulamben, Bali or carrying your gear through the hot sands of Cozumel, Mexico to a waiting boat 100's of yards away,, you appreciate the quality and protection of this dive boot. The function in the water is just as impressive. With its dove-tail heel design, I no longer have to deal with the occasional scuba fin strap slipping off. I've used mine with some nice split fins with metal straps and currently enjoy using them with ScubaPro NovaWing bungee straps. My fins are always secure and comfortable in use with the SeaSoft Sunrays. The 3mm weight means my feet don't get hot on-deck and stay warm in the blue of tropical water. Finally, the zippered side allows for a much easier "put on/removal" of the boot which is very handy when your on a liveaboard dive boat and trying to get geared up quickly. After 4 years of use and over 100 dives, I tore one of my boots slightly in the back where the fabric bonds to the rubber heel.. It still functions perfectly and was more my failure to unzip it completely before jamming my foot in and pulling up the heel. I bought this pair for my girlfriend to use who complains her 5mm ScubaPro booties are too hot and hurt the soles of her feet when she's walking around the boat with them or the shore. I love my SeaSoft Sunrays and if my first pair ever do wear out, I will not hesitate to buy them again. Highly Recommended!
