Well worth the cost
I needed a device like this to fix my LG TV and Sonos Arc Ultra AV Sync issue. I tried a cheaper highly rated unit but it failed miserably. I played a lossless Dolby Atmos movie and sound was very choppy. I decided to just buy this one and am very impressed. Once the right settings are set and handshake is complete it is plug and play going forward and absolutely works for what I need. Very high quality product. Well worth the cost.

Defective
It won’t work at all unless you unplugged and plug it back in every time you turn the TV on - every single time. It also won’t play audio from both the TV and an Apple TV 4K - only get audio from the Apple TV 4K.P.S. since it can’t be exchanged, I’ll have to purchase a competitor’s product instead

Rough set up, but it works
UPDATE: Still love it, but here's the link to the manual that SHOULD come in the box but doesn't.https://www.hdfury.com/docs/HDfuryArcana2.pdfORIGINAL REVIEW: i have an older Sony TV that for whatever reason only plays Dolby Atmos on Netflix (not Max) using the native Android interface. Like almost all TVs, even the newest ones, it would not pass through the Atmos signal from the Apple TV 4K (ATV) to the Sonos Arc speaker. I really wanted Atmos with every streamer, not just Netflix, and I prefer the ATV interface. Much online research suggested a brand new TV, using the native interface (not ATV) or if using ATV, this very expensive HDMI splitter.Good news is, IT WORKS, but it is definitely NOT plug-and-play. No manual in the package, just a very tiny QR code that leads to a bad PDF of confusing pictograms and broken English. The tiny LED screen on the Arcana is difficult to read and often unclear on options and making selections.Best advice: go to some AI search engine like perplexity.ai and ask how to connect it. Specifically, turn off the autoplay previews in all your apps, and on the Arcana audio set-up do NOT select "Sonos arc/beam", but rather some weird setting that is a jumble of letters with "auto" is in the middle of it.It took me about an hour of rebooting the various components (Sonos Arc, ATV, Sony TV) with different settings, but it finally started working with Atmos on all streamers, not just Netflix. The Sonos app will show "HDMI" as source with a tiny Dolby Atmos logo.GOOD LUCK! I'm no AV techie, but I got it to work. Phone a friend might be another option. :)5 MONTH UPDATE: Works great with occasional lapses that require checking the audio setting to make sure it's still on AUTOEXEC and of course the good old unplug it and plug it back in.

Doesn't work as a splitter
My Goal: To play my Playstation 5 game in 1 room, with my Racing Sim Rig and my VR equipment, and be able to go to the adjacent room and play adventure games with a flip of a switch.VR Room - 4K60 using a soundbar w/Dolby Atmos.Adjacent room - Pioneer Elite LX305 4K/120 w/ Dolby Vision/Atmos, etc.Plan: PS5 - Arcana 2 (input) to HDMI Out (VR Room 4K/60), and HDMI Copy (Adjacent Room 4K120 Pioneer Dolby Vision/Atmos, etc) via Fiber HDMI 2.1 cable (monoprice).Result: No Joy. at least with the cheap $20.00 switcher's I can get audio and video on the VR room where the PS5 situates (because the cable length is less than 3 meters)back to the drawing board.

Out of the box, amazing sound
My set up, Nvidia Shield, SamasungTV with ARC, Sonos Arc soundbar. The TV does supply a lossy Atmos to the Sonos, but everything sounded tinny. So I tried on of those other cheaper boxes no sound and choppy video. So I bit the bullet for the expensive HDFury 8k. Pugged in the cables (good 8k cables), powered everything up, waited for the handshaking... and boom full lossless to the Arc soundbar, fix my HDR problem on the TV, OMG, this thing is worth every penny.

Simply does not work at all
With apple tv directly connected with a short, 8k rated hdmi cable, the arcana 2 shows no input.

PC gaming with Atmos
Allows me to get Dolby Atmos from my PC to my Sonos speakers while using a gaming monitor. It works great except for the occasional glitch that requires me to unplug the power and plug it back in to fix it

Excellent device to watch Dolby Vision content on a 4k HDR10 projector!
Although understanding settings required some knowledge I did reach the company discord chat and received fast response support. Now I watch Dolby Vision content from my Apple TV box from the Arcana output connected to JMGO Ultra 4K laser projector. Totally worth the upgrade.
