A: I am very pleased with the trees, I think you can use them outside but the boxes might be a but light weight.  I am going to put them into heavier pots with gravel.  I am not sure if the colour will fade in strong sunlight.  I bought two for the shop and my customers are impressed.  I think the base is roughly nine inches square.

**Q: Hi are the plant pots made from wood and can they be painted**
A: Yes they are made of wood, you could paint them but mine have deteriorated in bad weather so keep them under cover. I’ve repotted mine.

Bought these for my front door. Have put them in over-sized plastic pots, filled with rocks and sand and finished with smaller pebbles. Lights are battery operated. A first class finish and so heavy they will not be going anywhere, even on the north coast of Scotland! If you are worried about the weight, just buy bigger pots and pop them on a brick, fill with rocks, pebbles, sand. I am thrilled with them and would recommend. Just the look I wanted. Thank you

    Realistic trees and paintable bases

These trees are realistic and effective only reason I gave 4 stars is they are a bit too light in weight. I screwed flat wood under them and covered with chips and painted bases black. Ps I would note there's no drainage hole at bottom so would recommend drilling one as they could fill up with water.
