Is it brushed nickel?** A: Yes the one they are showing here is the Brushed Nickel. **Q: what is the diameter of the ring and how far does the base comes out of the wall?** A: The diameter is 7" inches and the base extends 2 1/4" inches from the wall. **Q: does a bath towel fit through it ?** A: Yes - I just tried it, and there seems to be plenty of room. I think it might not be appropriate if you have the bath "sheets", but regular size towels are good. These fitted well, I screwed them to the wall, I didn't try the extra syrine attachment so can comment on the suitability although it could be beneficial to those without a drill.
