This supplement is incredible! Let me give you a bit of backstory, I'll try to keep it condensed. I'm in my early 50s, had 5 kids, always been in shape, very active, only eat Whole Foods, gluten free (because I cook for 2 celiac family members) NEVER eat fast food and my only liquid is water and morning coffee. That being said I went through menopause, relatively uneventfully. The only trouble I really had was I, for the first time in my life was suddenly 40 lbs overweight!! I tried everything to loose belly weight and nothing worked AT ALL. So I thought, just what if I'm insulin resistant? So I did a bit of research to understand what IR even was. As I always do, I looked into pure, natural remedies for IR online and found this. I read EVERYTHING so I took a deep dive into researching different products and countless reviews. At this point, I was pretty sure I was indeed insulin resistant. I started taking this supplement in the middle of the day, 3 caps and really expected nothing, as natural supplements always take forever to see results. If I splurged and over ate or ate something with high sugar , I'd take it twice in a day. When I ran out I ordered another bottle. Mind you, I have an INCREDIBLY busy life. I care for my 2 small grandchildren, my mom with dementia and my disabled husband. So I really just forgot why I was taking this... I just added it to my other supplements and didn't think about it really at all. It was when I was halfway through my second bottle, I had the presence of mind to see that none of my clothes really fit me!! I ran upstairs to jump on the scale and OMG! I had lost 17 lbs! I'm on my 4th bottle now and have lost 30lbs total. So the weight loss has slowed to a crawl but I'm determined to get this last 10 lbs off. I may start taking 3 caps twice a day everyday and see if that helps. And I had ZERO side effects, nothing! No smell, no trouble swallowing, no burps. I feel so much better in every way. So ladies.... if menopause making you not recognize yourself in the mirror for no apparent reason, look into the possibility of insulin resistance. For the record, I had also gone through several yrs of emotional trauma and left an abusive relationship when I began to start menopause. STRESS, even if you don't think you're stressed, is a silent killer. A killer of hopes, dreams, identity, self worth, etc. as well as the physical effects, like insulin resistance. This is a quality high strength berberine. I'm not someone who puts just anything in my body, so having researched the company as well any and gotten the 3rd party testing, I agreed to try these. I measure my glucose level regularly and so long as I'm using a high quality berberine, it's very well controlled. So my only alternative here is to check my glucose levels and if they are higher than expected, then that should relate to the quality and strength of what I'm using. Without getting into any detail, my glucose stayed stable throughout the day, taking them twice daily.

I have been ordering the 90 count for the last few months and had no issues. I recently decided to try the 180 count to save money via the offered discounts. The first order a few weeks ago appeared to be good condition on the outside but when I opened the protective seal, all the capsules were coated in a bright yellow powder, which seems to be from exploded capsules. I couldn’t find any that seemed popped but every one of them was coated in the yellow powder. I got a refund for that and decided to try again. Same thing. I’m not sure what the difference is between the way the 90 count and 180 are produced or packaged but this tells me I may have to stick with the 90 count in the future. Now I have to swallow these capsules with something sweet to kill the bitterness of the powder.
