4.5⭐️
I so enjoyed reading this book. It was heartbreaking and healing all in one breath. I adored the LGBTQ+ representation and found both Avi’s and Kyran’s bisexual and gay awakening’s so beautiful to read about. This is an enemies to lovers, step brothers romance! So there was so much tension between the two of them! The taboo-ness of it all was thrilling and the spice was spicing! These two had so much chemistry that I didn’t want to put it down! I loved these two so much and watching them fall in love had me swooning!

For anyone who struggles with sexuality
I have never written a review on Amazon for a book . But I will for this one. This book had me in knots I was rooting for Avi and Kyran. This book is taboo at first but honestly them growing together throughout the book is amazing. The plot is so worth is for anyone who is scared of coming out or struggle with identifying their sexuality it’s a whirlwind of emotions. That is definitely worth the read the character development is on point and I love to hear about Theo or Guty or Frankie’s story with how much I fell in love with the side characters aswell as the main. The smut in this book is also great but it’s not overly in your face and filling up the book.Without giving too much away because no one likes a spoiler it is worth the read so pick up this book and get down and dirty with Avi and Kyran

So much more than I expected
So look I know there's a little controversy around this author, or at least there is around one book over on one of my book groups on fb. And I get it, but this book had none of that and it was on my tbr for a while so I really wanted to read it.And yeah OK there's a lot of you know 'the stuff' considering what this book is about but yeah it really did turn out to be so much more than that.I want totally sold on these characters at first but I was interested enough to continue and it was worth it. Kyran is so much more than he appears and he's been through some really tough times. He's still finding himself, learning who he is and how to be OK with that. I adore him and I felt pretty emotional at certain times, there were almost tears in my eyes and I just wanted to scream with him, to hug him.As for Avi, I loved him so much. He was Ky's rock, he helped him figure himself out, work through what he needed and all the time he stuck by his side and never left. He was sweet, sassy, fierce and loving. He was perfect for Kyran and I loved him and his unending support and love for Ky.This book deals with some pretty heavy content that really struck me and it made me sick and angry and want to scream so loud. It made me want to tear something or someone apart but it was dealt with in a healthy, respectful way eventually and that made it all worth it.Kyran deserves the world and honestly so does Avi and I'm so glad they found that in not only each other but also their family, friends and created a home for each other. Sure this story is almost all about the naughty times except there's so much feeling even right from the start that it's actually not.It was heartbreaking, wonderful, sweet, painful and really good.My only complaint is that some of the wording for the uh you know what times (the zon won't let me say it) made me cringe. A lot of books that have that kind of content often do honestly but yeah there were a few moments that made me literally cringe. A few that were cringey that I actually grew to like either because of this book or another one but yeah just a couple of times I found myself going 😬 but it was easy to push past because of my love for Ky and Avi. I quite enjoyed this one and I would definitely re-read again.Ps the moments to do with the fans some of those were hilarious and I totally enjoyed those. 😂

PHENOMENAL
This book is simply PHENOMENAL! I absolutely loved this book so much & the Audio is absolutely incredible.Probably my favourite book of all time! My only complaint is that it’s a standalone- really wish it was a series 😩 Avi and Ky are my favourite couple ever! My first Nyla K and definitely not my last 😊

Falls a little short for me…
I’m torn. This book was well written and had a good premise. But it didn’t live up to the hype for me. It was long and that’s not usually a bad thing; but, I had no problem putting it down to, which was disappointing. There were a lot of “hints” that were dropped and loose ends that didn’t feel tied up at the end. I imagine the author will be writing a collection of +700 page novels to follow this up.Perhaps it’s just me, and shows the depraved books I’ve read, but I found it a little dull. It was as though the whole book really kept drawing focus to the taboo situation of the characters, how cute/adorable they (…and everyone else) thought they were, and the exploration their sexuality in a physical way. But the story behind stalled. The beginning felt like a sizzling slow burn, which I was okay with. There were a solid 400 pages in the middle where it felt like the story just stopped progressing past some minor emotional development, I was less okay with this. And the end? The last 150 pages somehow (possibly because the rest was so drawn out) felt like a decent pace. The epilogues were infuriating, 3 and 9 months after the events of the novel, where somehow the world is shitting fortune and opportunity at these two 21 year olds.Perhaps I’m old (geriatric millennial here 🙋♀️) or perhaps I need to stop taking recommendations from bookstagram. I’m sure LOADS of people will like this, rave about it even. It just really missed the mark for me.
