Works as intended
I wanted a way to be able to lock down my iPad, and this works well. It even fits my iPad while it it's case, it's a snug fit, but it fits nonetheless. (Make sure you check the specs to see if it'll fit yours.) I also liked that I was able to remove the band used for your hand since I don't need that feature and wanted to remove the bulk. The only thing that would make this product better is if there was an option for a combination lock instead of just the lock that uses keys, BUT this is compatible with any laptop lock, so I was able to swap that out for my other one. With that being said, it'd be even better if the company offered this product at a lower price point without the lock itself.I'd still definitely recommend this iPad lock & would order again if needed.

Photo booth iPad holder
I removed the hand strap (reveals a 1/4-20 socket) and attached a quick-release plate for an inexpensive tripod ball head. That was attached to a superclamp, which I attached to a light stand. Add one 9.7" iPad and Instant photo booth, solid and secure! It comes with several optional foam "shims" to ensure a non-wobbly fit and no scratches to your tablet. This also helps because you won't get to the last "click" and may need that little extra bit of travel (just before the next click) to push inward and compress the grip while you push in the release. Be sure to do this in a place which would minimize the risk of damage should the tablet fall (in other words, BE CAREFEUL!).The cable is quite long. Perhaps 2m or a little more? It was just the right length more my application, with the tablet at camera-height and the loop around the legs of the stand, with no extra cable to coil, just attached with velcro straps to the light stand with the other cables. Typical kensington-style T-lock with a freezer key.Yes, if someone really wanted your iPad, they would only have to snap off a corner, but you won't stop that person with any measures, so if you are using this in such an environment, this may not be your solution. For an event or situation where it may be unattended but others may be in the room (with a potential theif) then the presence of the cable itself is a significant deterrant..

Sturdy and both VESA and camera mount options. (Security grip only, not the versions with the stand)
This is a very sturdy tablet mount that offers both VESA and camera mount options. It has two M4 holes with VESA spacing, and two 1/4-20UNC for camera tripod screw attachment. It is a built as a composite of both metal and tough plastic, and the lock is your standard Kensington-type lock used for securing computer equipment. I like that it is not specific to any one make or model of tablet, so I can use it in the future.I plan to use it to tripod mount my iPad for a Photo Booth application. If I could change one thing (hence the deduction of 1 star), I would make the corners deep enough to hold an iPad in a thicker Otterbox-type case (in case someone knocks over the tripod!). Otherwise, this a strong and secure setup.Note: Do yourself a favor and go the the CTADigital dot com website and download the Instruction Manual. The included manual is just too small to be able to read easily.

Stored on my deli countertop
I used the attachable metal stand which has holes that you can put into a table or counter for permanent keeping, since I only need at the checkout area in my deli. Works great and tilts for easy transactions or viewing pleasures. Recommend to anyone in business.
