I've owned this truck since new. This grill fit so very well. I would actually call it easy. Once in position, I took it off again. The original grill had a gold Chevy tie. And the background find that allow air to the radiator are painted a gray color. I decided to change the bowtie to a powder coated black bowtie. I also painted the mentioned grill work to black also. Once masked off I sanded it, primed(x2) and painted(x2). Keep in mind all the holders for the bowtie and turn signal screws need to be reused on the new grill. For those interested, I also changed my lights to LED. I went from 700lumens to 7000lumens. I bought a headlight that is short with a 90degree turn. The led has a fan and circuits designed to stop flutter. The turn in the unit is designed to stop any cutting on the truck to make it fit. For this model you will need to do your homework. Once in place the lights were lowered so not to blind other drivers. It is such a pleasure to drive. Good Luck

This is a terrible reproduction that has a terrible fit. It will not lock into place with the factory locations. don't waste your time with this grill it will be nothing but headaches! It has been for me!

It didn't have any scratches and I didn't have to do any modification to it and it worked perfectly on my 1995 chevy truck

This is a beautiful grill but I had difficulty installing it. The inserts for the parking lights were not on the grill so I had to use the ones from the old grill. The plastic the grill is made of is more brittle than the original one and I broke 2 of the ears off the grill trying to install those little plastic inserts and I even supported them from the back side. The whole grill was a bit short by about 1/2" and had trouble getting the screws in and it fits really tight against the outside of the headlights. Maybe a little more bend in the middle. Also, one of the bottom clips that hold it in place was missing so I had the screw it to the bottom flange.
