Fantastic product! I have a beloved dog who is currently being treated for an autoimmune disorder, and her treatment requires high doses of prednisone among other heavy duty medications. One of the many down sides is the body's inability to fight off the staph that every mammal (humans included) have on their skin all the time. Consequently, her suppressed immune system allowed the staph to become a never-ending series of sores, progressing to a large, red, swollen infection across her chest. Needless to say, my level of worry was off the charts. I was following standard protocol and doing daily diluted peroxide treatments along within sponge baths 3-4 times per week. The vet ordered a specialized antibiotic to knock the infection out, but it would take time to arrive and I was fearful this could easily continue to spread or become a septic MRSA situation in the meantime (having had a relative die of MRSA, I'm well acquainted with how dangerous and quickly this can move into a life/death situation). I discovered Anasept and decided to give it a try to keep things at bay until the antibiotics arrived. I was amazed at how quickly it cleared up the minor infections, and stopped the major chest infection from worsening or spreading further. It's also great for disinfecting her crate and bowls. I'm SO thankful to have found this! NOTE: Some people have mentioned it smells like bleach. PLEASE DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO USE BLEACH ON YOUR PET OR HUMANS! This formula is based on Dakin's Solution, a formula that has a bleach base that is further processed with baking soda to "soften" it and make it safe for use on skin and wounds. I was also extremely pleased that Anasept caused no discomfort to my pet, even when applied directly to areas that had open blisters, etc. She remained relaxed, comfortable and sleepy, thinking she was getting attention and "love time". Every other disinfectant (even diluted) caused a flinch and obviously stung. Her infection was spreading like wildfire until I found this product, which halted the progression immediately, long enough for her meds to arrive. Mine is an extreme case, but I would encourage everyone to have a bottle of Anasept in their arsenal, particularly pet owners, parents or those caring for an elderly person. It handles and clears up even minor skin infections with amazing speed. Great product!

As a nurse practitioner I highly recommend this product. The bottle is well made and the sprays evenly, without dripping. The product itself is great at cleaning any size wound. The bigget testament as to how good the product is, is that it can generally be found in any wound care, internal medicine, or family practice office. I buy the product on amazon as it's cheaper than any of the medical websites I've found.

My wound care nurse recommended this product to keep wounds and the surrounding skin clean. She said she never had anyone’s wounds get reinfected after using it. She also told me I could use it every time I needed to clean the wound area. It smells funny, but you get used to it. It works very well and the wounds have healed up (with this and Polymem dressing)

This worked better than any other wound cleanser . Kept my wound clean and smells so clean.

Anasept is expensive, but it works great, hospitals use this for wound care. If you’re ever in the hospital and you have to go home and do wound care, ask your nurse to send you home with a few bottles of this.

It appears to work on superficial wounds; however, after researching the product, it was suggested ti not use often.
