Great Book!
I had the honour and the privilege to hear Tim Marshall, the author, at the inaugural HFW "Commodities Dinner" in September 2022. This is a fascinating book and I look forward to reading the sequel, "The Power of Geography". A must read in this febrile and interconnected world of realpolitik! If you liked this you will like also enjoy "The World For Sale" by Javier Blas & Jack Farchy & "Commodity Crops & the Merchants who trade them" as well as "Out of The Shadows" by Jonathan Kingsman

Bible of Geopolitics
This is a fantastic read if you wish to understand the nature of global powers. Why is Russia so aggressive with Ukraine? Why is China expanding so rapidly? This book offers an analysis of each world player, including what that want, what lines they can't allow to be crossed, and what they may do next. Make sure to get the most up-to-date version. I feel this book will be very relevant in the chaotic times to come.

Wonderful and informative
As someone who has always loved learning about the world and the different countries and cultures all around it, I found this book to be incredible. It was quick moving yet thorough and hit on so many things that I, even as someone who studied Geography a little, had never even thought about. I would recommend this book to anyone to better understand the world and politics and how they are shaped by the physical realities all around us! Amazing read.

If you like history
If you like history and if you are really interested in the history of Washington DC then this is the book for you. I have enjoyed every page of this book. The subjects are broken into short explanations which have their own title. I only have one complaint. In the KINDLE version the maps are so small that you can't read them - so I bought the printed book too specifically so I could see the maps.
