Dissatisfied and wasted my money since it stopped working after 2 months and I have to get rid of it. I had an electronic gate system person install it for me and it was working for 2 months. Then, it stopped working for no apparent reason, but when I restarted it using the app, it would not connect so I called their support line. I spoke to two different people and they clearly did not care if it was working or not. The first person just said to go restart it. I restarted it and it still would not connect using the directions provided. I called again and the man told me that the wifi was too far from the modem and hung up on me. I will be chalking this up to a lesson learned. The company and support was in British Columbia. I will go local for local support.

I replaced their older unit with "soft touch" keys for this unit. OMG, what a difference. This is a really good product: Solid Build, Easy install, Great software features.I have used Doorbird and DoorKing units. This product is better than both of them, I think.I use the iOS DoorDeer app, the Android app may be different. The app is intuitive and has great features. One in particular is the a recording of anyone who enters a code. We use this for a construction site access, and contractors share codes. A recording when a code is entered is really useful.Another great feature is the "announcement if not available". Basically after about 20 seconds of no response, you can hav a 10 sec recording play. We play: "resident is not available, please do not leave packages unattended".This product is better than units that cost $1000 or more.UPDATE: After installing two of the units, here is an update:-- the tech support is super helpful (and answers on weekends)-- there is the option to add a microSD card to store more video and not use the cloud service. This is not documented in the instructions, but it works great.-- I installed both POE and the two wire power. If one goes down, the unit still gets power.One BIG FLAW: the space behind the wires is very, very tight and there is basically no space for screws or anything really.It takes a lot of fiddling around to make it work. I scratched the paint of the unit while attempting to install it. Feature request: please make the housing a little bigger so there is space behind the unit for wire nuts.

Overall this is a good alternative to the more expensive door birds etc… the app works well. You can set different codes for different people etc… the video quality is decent. I wish there was a way to set a geofence so it would sense proximity and open. But it’s totally fine for my use without that. My biggest gripe is that the wall unit is totally useless. The touchscreen doesn’t work at all and I’m always scrambling to find my phone to open it. Also if I’m not home with my phone whoever is home can’t open the gate for visitors since the wall unit is useless. So if you are solely going to use the app it’s a decent choice.

Product that was shipped was a used item. Lots of damages along the sides and already bound to another user

I bought this to replace an old Essex Electronics keyless entry system that was wired with a DoorBell Fone system so that it would ring through my landline. Landline was just spam calls and got too expensive so wanted to get rid of it. Now we can see who is at the gate. Video is great. Monitor in house replaced old landline phone and mount fit perfectly on old phone mount. I struggled to figure out what all the old wires were that ran through conduit but was able to ignore all but 2 that i rewired to the power wires and got it up and running without having to hire someone. Impressed my husband AND my handyman brother ( who I would have had do it if he wasn't 3000 away)

I actually purchased the 3-unit version of this intercom, but wanted to comment here since I noticed some concerns about security.First off - the system is excellent and GBF's customer service is exceptional. Every email was answered quickly with detailed instructions and helpful diagrams. They even helped me connect both my pedestrian gate striker and Liftmaster driveway motor successfully.Regarding the 1-star security review - this is quite misleading. Any physical security system can be compromised if someone is determined enough (they could simply climb over a fence). The key is proper installation. In my case, all wiring is securely contained within a metal post and the unit is firmly mounted. The intercom's security is as good as your installation method.The system itself is very well made:Clear 1080P cameraReliable POE connectivityFlexible access options (app, keypad PIN)Dual lock control capabilityProfessional grade aluminum constructionOne note: there is an annual subscription for multi-unit functionality, which wasn't clearly advertised. However, the system's quality and support make it worthwhile.Bottom line: With proper installation, this is a secure and reliable system backed by fantastic customer service. Don't let the misleading security review deter you - focus on proper installation practices instead.

The keypad and intercom has nearly zero room for wires making install on a standard intercom post a challenge. On second day the remote display would not connect to wifi (after it had been for a full day). Signal was great at that location - tech support said they had other reports of this and replaced display right away. No issues since.Our driveway is nearly a 1/2 mile long and we have data with wifi at the end so this was perfect compared to our previous solution.
