Great for construction
I have to use angle grinders and chipping hammers many times during the day and these headphones are great. They flip down easily and they fit over my ears very comfortably. The noise cancellation works very well and it will save your ears from damage. 10/10 would recommend

Easy to Use Attachable Earmuffs
No more fidgeting with ear plugs! This set of Peltor earmuffs is easy to use, comfortable, and makes your work easier and safer. It takes less than 30 seconds to attach them to your helmet or hard hat and you're off to work. They simply click in and then are adjusted to fit snugly around the ears. Move one or both up onto the helmet when not in use. They cling tight to the helmet so even when climbing throughout the trees or whatever your use, they will not be in the way or come loose. While they do increase the overall weight of your helmet setup, they are light enough and the addition is welcomed in light of the benefit they provide.

Works great! Even in cold weather
I work at a factory and some areas are quiet while other areas are deafening. Rather than sticking in ear plugs and taking them out over, and over, and over... I bought these earmuffs. Best decision ever! When I walk into the control room I rotate them up so I can talk to the guys; as soon as I walk out, I can put them back on in seconds. This is also more sanitary because I'm not sticking gross foam ear plugs into my head. Install time took about 5 seconds and they seem to be universal: these even fit my "novelty hard hat" (made by MSA, has a camouflage shell).I've used these earmuffs in temps down to about -10 deg F, they still work fine. The spring loaded parts seem to be metal and not plastic. After 4 months of constantly flipping them up and down, these muffs are still going strong.Downsides I've found: #1. they look dorky. #2 These are a bit heavy; it's not unreasonable, but you'll definitively notice the weight after a 10 hr shift. If you work in a noisy, but not deafening area: I would encourage you to pass on these and get a lower rated muff / lighter version... your neck will thank you.

Check your hard hats first.
My place of employment requires us to use their hardhats, and the ones they give us have a specific design flaw to be able to attach things LIKE these earmuffs, but the outer rim of the hardhat makes it so they are not being properly pressed against your ears and are not being utilized to their fullest potential and become a safety hazard when working in environments with loud noises. From what I can tell by just placing them over my ears with my hands, they do a decent enough job at protecting my ears from loud noises and I don't predict that I would see any issue using them in place of ear plugs, and I would probably prefer them if they worked with the hardhat that I use. They are also fairly hard and would do a sufficient job at protecting your ears from dust or projectiles.Check your hard hats first to see if they don't have too much trim around them.

Works well.
These were the highest sound deadening hard hat attaching earmuffs that I could find without having to spend well into the hundreds of dollars. They work very well, and while they do add some weight to the hard hat, it isn't overly bad. I went my first day with them on in the stored position for all eight hours and didn't notice they were there. My small complaint is I have a very big head and when I'm on my hands and knees sometimes they'll pop out of their "on" position, it just requires a click back into place, but when the jack hammer is running it's a rude awaking.Other than that one complaint they are great, and 3M even has a sanitary kit for them so you can pull them apart and replace the ear piece foam. Well worth the price!

Comfortable, affordable
They stay in the helmet even when I drop the hard hat on accident. Very comfortable, seemingly very durable, and I can wear them for hours at a time. Also they help keep my ears warm during the winter. Would definitely buy again, 100%
