Remember what it is-covers are thin.
The preprinted format of this booklet is a good seed for you to complete your hole/green layouts. It makes for good practice and good practice rounds. The write-in-rain paper is a feature I’m not particularly excited about since I don’t generally need it…but if you do, you really need it, so it’s a nice feature. You should grab a couple different styles (printed formats inside, sizes are all the same) to see what fits your hand and eye. Check pictures of interior to learn how their preprinted formatting sets you up to pre-game and practice. I can’t really say anything negative…you might have to change *how* you diagram or note layout and green, but you won’t genuinely fall short if you study your format and capture everything important (regardless of format) to playing a hole well (and maybe not so we’ll) on each page. Get a back-pocket booklet cover and get to it. You can’t use GPS in tournaments, nor should you be too lazy to pace off a marker…this intentionally slows down your game and forces you to be purposeful. If you want to jam through 3-hr rounds, I might humbly suggest Polo is a perfectly legitimate pass time with a perhaps more agreeable pace. This is not an undertaking for those of you who brag about how fast you can get around…it’s instead an exercise in pragmatism, and the yardage booklet is a great way to give yourself a look at your game and the way you play it.

I’ve golfed for years - and should have had this tool.
I sustained a traumatic brain injury and my memory and decision making skills have both been extremely diminished. But I still love to get out of the house and golf..it’s really frustrating when I choose a club, and then realize I made a mistake. I know people without a TBI have the same (or similar) problem and this yardage book makes it easy to remember what you need to use -Especially if you’re like me and play the same horses over and over.

Great but, buy the right pen/pencil
Hear me out. I gave this a 3 star review because it's 'kind of difficult' to find a pen that won't bleed onto the pages. I used a pen I use at work to trace over the pencil sketch I had made and when I flipped the page, it bled onto the back of the previous page. I love the layout even though I think there are 2 modifications I would make. 1 instead of showing the zoomed in fairway or whatever it is on the bottom, put a notes section for players to jot down notes about the hole. 2 give us a template-ish style green instead of having us draw it out. Would make it a lot easier to sketch for us non-artistic individuals. Overall, liked the product but, the paper/pen situation made it cumbersome
