I bought this because my mother has MS and mobility issues. We raised her motorized scooter seat to make it easier for her to get in and out of bed but that left the toilet seat to low.We had a 4 inch riser before this one that we got at a local drugstore. This one is truly taller and exactly what we needed.The plastic is very sturdy and easy to clean. I was skeptical when I took it out of the packaging but it really works. It cannot just sit on the toilet, you have to use the clamps but the clamps are clamping! Our shorter riser had a tendency to slide no matter how much we clamped it. This seat is not going anywhere.It's been very helpful in the few weeks we've had it and it serves us purpose very well for my house.

My very tall husband has bad knees and most toilets are too low for him to easily get up and down. When he learned he was going to require heart surgery, we knew that grab bars weren't going to be an option so I shopped for toilet seat risers. This one was perfect. First, I don't have to remove the existing toilet seat and lid. This one sits down on my oval shaped toilet and clamps with two screws on the side. At first I thought it wasn't going to stay put and be unstable but when I loosened the screws on the sides just a little, it became very stable. This seat is taller than most of the ones I've seen advertised so this was a real plus for my husband. I put it on a newer, taller toilet and had to add a stool for the short people (me) in the house. If you have standard toilets, this will be perfect to give the average person a little height so they can easily get up and down. It's easy to clean, has it's own lid and doesn't look too bad.

The 6 inch height is great. Seat is well made and easy to install.However, the lid is a very flimsy/thin plastic and cracks easily where it attaches to seat

This riser is the best we have found. It fits the toilet, is stable, comfortable and functions well. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for one.

The construction of this toilet riser is marginal. I should have paid more attention to the reviews that said the lid was too fragile and broke on them. Even being careful, this one did as well. Since it had recently gone out of warranty, I contacted the supplier to purchase a lid to make the repair myself. Their customer service is abysmal. They promised repair parts, a full refund, and a new seat, and none of those things ever happened. This went on for a month. So if you want a poorly constructed toilet riser with zero customer service, this is the one for you!

I like the feel of the toilet riser seat, but the lightweight lid is a problem. I have been careful with, but I believe my cat has jumped upon closed lid (the litter box being close by), having caused the plastic lid HINGES to break off. If they were fixable or replaceable, that would be one thing, but no. So I am just leaning the lid up behind the riser while using, then replacing the unattached lid upon seat when done. Otherwise, the seat itself is good, my having dealt with an Osteoarthritic knee, so the height helps.It seems there should have been a better, more solid design of, such as a rod between - connecting the two hinges for more stability, or different design. If possible to replace, I would like to, but having had a while, now. 😏

I bought this raised toilet seat to use when we were staying in a campground where I knew that the cabins were not handicapped accessible. It will fit on any toilet and allowed me to use the toilet without worrying about how I was going to get up. It is easy to carry in the box it came in. Also nice that it has a lid so I can sit down after a shower while drying off. It is tall enough that I didn’t have to worry about it’s not having arms.
