It took longer to take the old off, than to put the new one on. My old one had the overflow holes exposed to the drain. It gets nasty and you can't clean it good enough to take the smell away. I had to take one gasket off (black) the underside of the drain top. I have an old house with an old sink. Once you remove and clean the old one, drop this in and tighten from the bottom by hand! No tool needed! Before you connect it to the pipe in the wall or floor, screw the hose onto the bottom in either the down or side position. If you don't, you will be back to do it. I have a clamp on my pipe and it also clamps to the drain hose. I turned on the water and TA-DA! It works! You can adjust the drain stopper (Pull up or push down) to increase the flow down the drain. I totally recommend this!

The drain is really nice and easy to install works great. Only problem the orifice of the top drain to large so doesn't drop to the bottom and causes a little pooling to occur due to the lip of the rim being above. Wish it had a option to switch out to smaller ring up top.

Had to fix the pipe in the bathroom sink & it worked nicely easy to install looks nice pretty durable so far. no leakage. Works so good that a year later i bought another one for the other bathroom sink

Very easy to install! The appearance of the drain plug looks great and it functions well. The valve flap seems to open and close easily; it would be better if it sealed a little better, but the flexible pipe takes care of any gasses that may come up.

It is very hard to get it stuffed into the existing pipe hard enough for the rings to keep it from leaking. If you get any plug up in your line, IT WILL LEAK!

Generally easy to use but why? My drain pipe is threaded. You will note from the product picture that there is no threaded connector to hold it in the pipe. It comes with a couple of gaskets but falls right out of the drain. Are you just supposed to stuff it in and hope for the best? Anyway, I rigged up a connector and it works fine now that it is attached.

The media could not be loaded. It was fairly easy to install, had to do a little modification to fit the drain. A little water does stay in the sink because of the way the drain sits
