Apart from the build quality, which is quite bad, the reason I returned this monitor is for the intense banding. I don't trust a product with such a glaring issue to judge color or exposure.

Additionally, it accepts both SDI and HDMI inputs up to 30p, and it outputs both SDI and HDMI as well.As a user of the Sony camera system, I was excited to discover that the Lilliput H7s comes with several built-in LUTs for converting Slog2 and Slog3 to Rec709 color space. It's a great feature. However, it's a bit disappointing that the built-in LUTs are only for Sony cameras, and not for cameras from other manufacturers like Blackmagic, Canon, or RED.One issue I've noticed when using LUTs on the H7s is that applying a LUT changes the histogram metering. This can make it difficult to properly expose shots, and it's something that my Atomos Shinobi monitor doesn't have an issue with. It would be great if Lilliput could address this issue with a software update.The build quality of the Lilliput H7s is somewhat questionable as it's made of plastic and feels like it could easily break with minimal force. However, despite this, it feels like it's made with precision and attention to detail. The ports are stiff and rugged, and there's no flex or give when connecting cables. The buttons are tactile and clicky, which is a nice touch.One great thing about this monitor is the mounting options. It has a 1/4 inch screw mount on each side, which is perfect for rigging it to your camera or mounting it onto a tripod. This gives you a lot of flexibility when setting up your shot.In conclusion, the Lilliput H7s is a fantastic monitor that offers impressive features and specs at an affordable price point. If you're looking for a reliable and high-quality camera monitor for your SDI camera, the Lilliput H7s is definitely worth considering.

Zunächst: Kann die (gehäuften) Berichte von pfeifenden Geräuschen nicht bestätigen. Der Monitor hat halt einen eingebauten Lautsrpecher, der eingehende Audiosignale wiedergibt (ja, das ist dumm aber kein Hexenwerk). Positioniert man ihn also zu nah am Mikrofon entsteht ein pfeifendes Rückkoplungsgeräusch. Easy fix: Lautsprecher im Menü ausschalten. Jenseites dessen arbeitet der Monitor absolut geräuschlos.Auch die immer wieder geäußerte Beschwerde, dass der False Colour Modus kein rot anzeigen würde, wenn das Signal clippt, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Entweder es gab zwischenzeitlich ein Firmware Update oder es betrifft User*innen die einen Output LUT nutzen, der das White Level begrenzt. Wenn der Monitor wegen einem LUT nur 90 IRE bekommt zeigt er halt auch nur 90 IRE an, da kann keine*r was für.Zu kritisieren gibt's trotzdem genug: Das bild ist... bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Starkes Banding (mit Sicherheit 8bit Panel), Probleme mit überbelichteten Bereichen, insbesondere bei Objekten im Gegenlicht (die werden gerne mal geschluckt). Das Panel verliert vor allem in den Highlights merklich Details, dunkel Bereiche sind dagegen relativ in Ordnung. Nach ein paar Stunden Betriebszeit hat sich das Bild auch verbessert, aber es ist nach wie vor bestenfalls mittelmaß. HDR Funktionen habe ich nicht getestet, würde aber keine Wunder erwarten. Farben sind all over the place, Rec. 709 kann er mit sicherheit nicht (aber hey, man kann man ihn zumindest theoretisch mit einem 3D LUT kalibrieren, wenn man die entsprechenden Gerätschaften dafür hat). 4k SDI Signale werden bein meinem Exemplar nicht akzeptiert, aber das könnte am Kabel liegen.Verarbeitung und Funktionsumfang sind völlig in Ordnung, Gehäuse wirkt (für ABS) stabil genug, vier mounting Points sind schön, Anschlüsse sitzen fest, da ist alles okay. Auch die Latenz ist sowohl über HDMI als auch SDI niedrig, eignet sich also auch für Fokus.Größtes Plus: Das Panel ist wirklich extrem hell bei akzeptablem Stromverbrauch.Fazit: Ist halt China-Import Ware. Aber bei dem Preis sollte man besser nicht zu viel meckern. Für den Regissuer (oder Agentur-Fuzzi) reichts im Zweifel dicke und als günstiger Monitor für die Kadrage bei Außendrehs geht er voll klar. Ich bereue den Kauf bisher nicht.
