Amazing band, seen them 30 odd times since they first came burst onto the Manchester music scene and they never cease to amaze, just get better and better

Lovely orchestral interpretations spanning the last 40 years!

James have brilliantly adapted some of their greatest songs to orchestral setting with choir and it works so well.

Saw these at Sheffield City Hall earlier this year. Old and new songs... Haunting beautiful with an orchestral theme. Stunning. Recorded or live James has stood the test of time where others have failed.

Too many sad memories associated with these beautiful songs that I can no longer listen to this collection. But you can.

There is a reason this band has been going for over 40 years. James fans will love in fact not just James fans

Estoy muy molesto. No califico el cd en sí mismo, James siempre es calidad. Califico el servicio de entrega, la manga llegó dañada, este disco lo compré específicamente para ser autografiado por los integrantes de la banda y ahora tendré que conservarlo así, deteriorado, gracias al descuido de todos los responsables del delivery.

The reimagined phase for recording artists does not always work, but this works quite well. Their often elegant songwriting lends itself to choir and orchestral instruments so this is a great CD to listen to. Smart to not only do better known songs but lesser known. A treat, especially if you like James other music.

Wo/wie beginnen? Wieder die alte Leier, warum in Deutschland fast niemand diese phänomenale Kapelle aus Manchester kennt, die es - siehe Albumtitel - seit 40 Jahren gibt? Och nöö. Selber Schuld, wer Tim Booth und seine ihn mehr oder weniger konsequent begleitenden Mannen nicht kennt (Larry Gott ist wohl doch für immer nicht mehr dabei...)!Nun denn: ich war kurz davor, dieser Scheibe nur 2 Sterne zu geben! Warum? Weil ich stinksauer bin, dass James nicht genug Mut hatten, eine 3er oder gar 4er CD-Box rauszubringen, der Backkatalog hätte es hergegeben!!! So fehlen wahrhaftige Klassiker wie "Sound", "Seven", "Born of frustration", "Walk like you", "All I'm saying" etc.! Aber vielleicht zeichnet es eine fantastische Band einfach aus, auf bestimmte Knaller verzichten zu können, um uns mit anderen Perlen mit Pauken und Trompeten zu verwöhnen?!Diese CD wird seit heute zu meinem festen Repertoire gehören, sie flasht mich, Erinnerungen an die späten 80er/frühen 90er werden schlagartig wach, die letzten Platten werden würdig vertreten! Und dass Mr. Booth immer noch über diese Stimme verfügt, leck mich fett, schlicht genial!Highlights? Das endlich als Audiotrack erhältliche, aber deutlich noch um ein Vielfaches gesteigerte "Sit down" (bis dato nur via YouTube mit einem Streicherquartett, nun aber mit dem ganz großen Besteck)!!! Mit Chor, musste heulen: "Sometimes". "Tomorrow", "Say something", "Moving on", "Laid"!!!Ach ja... Schnüff. Was Musik doch bewirken kann. Und DA sind wir wieder bei der Frage und stellen fassungslos fest: warum zum Teufel kennt die hier niemand??? By the way: bei Bedarf mal gucken, wer bis dato alles Vorband von James war...😉So: James steigen heute (16.06.) auf Position Nr. 3 in die UK-Charts ein - Fragen?
