Rookie The [DVD]

DVD is exactly as described by the seller. I totally love baseball and am loving family movies about baseball. These movies are older movies and hard to find and if you do find them they are way expensive. I was happy to find one I could afford. It arrived very soon after I ordered it. This DVD was in new wrapping and I'm totally satisfied.

What a wonderful movie; Family, Strife, Self-Improvement, and Compassion. It's too bad movies are so trashy today.

Good movie based on true accounts. No violence or immoral scenes. Good family show.

What I really like about the story is that it is true. Dennis Quaid plays Jim Morris who was a father, teacher and baseball high school coach. He coached a losing team and after batting practice one day the catcher asked him to throw some high speed fast balls, he did, and the catcher was astounded. So the team made Mr. Morris a bet that if they won their baseball section he would try out for major league baseball. He tried out and that he was throwing the ball at 98 miles per hour. He was called to Double A level and eventually, by the end of that year 1999 he got called up to play in the Big Leagues. This is an American story of someone who sought a dream and had it come true. This is what America is all about. Aim high and shoot for the stars and let the chips fall where they may.
