Hills Retracting Washing Line, High grade steel, Autumn Stone, 855mm x 230mm x 130mm

This product is very recommendable. I am delighted with this purchase.

We were looking for a high quality retractable washing line, with enough space to handle a family's laundry. Unfortunately such a product was not for sale in Holland. But in UK it was, so ordered there. Upon arriving a side cover was broken, but Green Solutions did quickly send a replacement part by registered mail. We are very content with this product.

no comparison at all to the common flimsy retractable washing lines that are so easily availablethis thing is a beasti've mounted it indoors in a large laundry room, so cannot vouch for how it fares up against weather, corrosion resistance etc., but it's a very durable product.the lines tension individually and remain strong even when loaded up with wet towels, jeans etc..i leave mine with lines out, most of the time and very occasionally re-tension them by retracting the unit and pulling it out againhere is the only defect as far as i can see... the lever used to tension the lines is made of a flexy plastic and you need to apply considerable force to this lever to tension the lines, and every time i'm terrified i'm going to snap the thing .. if this little lever had been made out of metal, then it would be 5-starsNOTE: it's worth using some chunky expanding-type wall-anchors to mount this due to the line-tension and the weight if fully loaded with heavy wet clothes

Sehr schlechte Verarbeitung. Zerkratzt, Dellen. Kein befestigungs Material Schrauben. Dübel im Lieferumfang erhalten. Der Spann Hebel ist aus Plaste hätte mir lieber was stabileres gewünscht.

Sturdy and nice so far!

This is my second purchase within 2 years of this same item. Although I love it (I bought it again) be aware that the grey re-coiling string will fail to retract on some of these. I have the 6 coil and one coil gave out and would not retract so I just hanged that one over the top of the case. Eventually 3 failed to retract so I bought another. Although they would not retract to the home case you can still use them to hang your clothing because they all still pulled taunt.

These are still saggier than I thought they'd be.We connected from the garage, and made our own pole system for the other end. This was not difficult, and not too expensive either: a galvanized pipe 8' long, one U bracket plus washers and nuts, plus a short pvc pipe and concrete for the hole. The pole is very easy to pull in and out of the pvc pipe, so it is not permanent in the yard.

This is a very nice product that has been designed well. The only issue is that, like a previous reviewer, the line locking lever is made of plastic and must flex every time the line is locked in place. Over time or if one is not careful, I can see that the lever will break, rendering this unit useless.
