Convoy Z1 zoomable Flashlight,SST70 LED,21700 Flashlight

I have been using Convoy Z1 with SST40 led with 18650 battery for more than one year. I used it in construction site for inspection and contractors are amazed by the performance. The zooming function is very useful. The PURE WHITE light is excellent for photography. The posted pictures were taken in broad daylight and they show the real life brightness of the flashlight. When used in pitch black conditions, it truely shines like the searchlight in Batman movie.When I saw Convoy Z1 with SST70 led on Amazon, I decided to buy one to compare with my old one with SST40. SST70 is noticeably brighter than SST40 but just slightly. But I am quite satisfied.I used 21700 high amp battery to compare with regular 18650 battery. Convoy Z1 will step down immediately from maximum lumen if the the battery cannot provide enough amperage. The best 21700 battery choices are: Molicel P42A, Samsung 30T, and Samsung 40T, according to review by "versedvaper.com". 18650 battery will work with Convoy Z1 but 21700 battery will perform much better.I have many high power LED flashlights using18650, 21700, and 26650 batteries. Most of them are too bright for daily use. The yellowish light with shadows from LED will ruin the photos. They are good for camping, searching, or just goofing around. For my work, I will pick Convoy Z1 zoomable flashlight.

No lanyard. No instructions. Light comes on when battery is inserted, I used a Nitecore 21700. I researched how to get it to work (program in one of the 12 available settings) and found there is NO setting to allow a brightness between 50% and 100%. In other words, there is no medium or medium high. You can jump from 35% (low) to 100% high or have four setting from 50% & below. Checking videos showed it will run at 100% under 2 minutes then drops to 50% anyway as a thermal protection measure. Useless to most people & definitely of no use to me. It won't go into program mode. The +ve battery terminal isn't spring loaded so it pushes in the top terminal on a button top battery, what a piece of junk. Now I've got a beat up Nitecore 21700battery to boot. This one goes in the junk drawer unless they'll allow a return.

Does no zoom into a tight beam as I seen others in the videos. Not sure about it. It is bright.
