Wahl - Super Taper Hair Clippers

So smooooooth.. these are my second set of Wahl clippers.. the first pair were very much on the cheaper side and became "jaggy and noisy"... these.. spent a bit more and wish I had done sooner- these are great. quiet, smooth, cut closer. a total joy to use. super happy.

After countless hair clippers, I'm finally very satisfied. After cheap (Remington, Philips, Braun ..) and middle class tailors, I looked for the perfect hair clipper in the high-priced segment. My requirements for a hair clipper are: - as short as possible (millimeter hairstyle) - clean cut - easy to clean - easy gliding on the scalp - easy to use, because I cut my own hair. The ELECTION masters all these points with flying colors! I previously had the Panasonic GP80. Also a good hair clipper, but unsuitable for me. - does not glide over the scalp with a short hairstyle due to the partially plastic cutting head. - MmN difficult to clean (cutting head with many corners and edges) The CHOICE glides easily over my head and shaves off all hair perfectly. No tearing, no jerking, no annoying 5x over the same spot so that all hair is really gone like in most models. The battery is also great. It holds the capacity for a long time and I can trim my head 4-5 times and the beard 6-7 times with a load until it slowly gets tired. The tailor's weight is somewhat high compared to others. Doesn't bother me further. It gives me the feeling that I have bought something of value that I will have something from for a long time. I also find it positive that it is easy to clean and if something needs to be replaced, you can simply undo the Phillips screws (other devices are pressed and glued or provided with special screws). Unfortunately I can't say anything about the accessories and the comb. But like everything makes a very valuable impression. A bag for storage would be nice, but that's the least evil. The power supply and the connection cable also look very high quality. The cable is also long enough to use the mains to style your hair when the battery is empty. Overall, a great device that unfortunately does not get the attention it deserves. I would buy it again and again and can fully recommend it!

Like a lot of people I purchased these clippers to get me through there being no hairdressers during lockdown. I conned my wife into cutting my hair. We watched the videos on the Wahl site and started off with grade three to cut the bottom of the hair at the back going through the grades to grade 6 to use further up the hair. It all worked very well. The clippers were easy to use - even on first time out. We were cutting the hair for about 20 minutes and there was no sign of the battery running down. They were sharp with no pulling of the hair. The attachments were easy to fit just clipping on and off. When the clippers were charging the light was on on the charger and it went off when charged.

Fantastic clippers

Product arrived with packaging damaged on plugging in the product, you could immediately smell a strong acidic metallic smell and the device started to overheat and then caused the plug to switch off, luckily the plug itself that I had it attached to has its own built-in safety feature which will cut off any devices plugged in which are faulty and could potentially cause serious damage.The clippers was so hot that I was unable to touch them and could have easily burnt my hand if I did not have asbestos hands from years of hairdressing.Anyone who regularly uses clippers like I have done for the past 20 years for my profession would easily recognise a damaged battery due to the smell and the how it's overheated. Under UK law it is illegal to knowingly post a damaged lithium battery and no courier will accept a damaged lithium battery for carriage.It was practically impossible to arrange a return of the item as no courier would accept it. I was essentially told to post it regardless which and then I would be legally responsible should any damage occur during transportation and could face a hefty fine for posting a damaged battery. It is classed as a hazardous material when in such a damaged state. The company was not very helpful in helping to resolve the situation.Luckily Amazon themselves was extremely helpful and arranged a refund and disposal of the item.If you're going to sell products that contain lithium batteries and there is a possibility that they could be a fault the company needs to be able to arrange a suitable refund and replacement and not completely disregard their responsibility as a seller.Do not recommend buying from this company due to their lack of customer services and holy inadequate packaging which is probably what led to the damage occurring during transit

I'm a professional barber, i have used Wahl Senior cordless and magic clip cordless. I wanted to give these a try since it was the cheapest of the 3. The only difference with these to the £110 magic clips is the blade, this comes with a taper blade(which I personally prefer). The magic clip, like the senior comes with a fade blade. The senior is definitely the stronger clipper and a little heavier with the metal case, as opposed to the other two's plastic case ( some prefer the heavier machines, some prefer the lighter ones). Battery life of senior ( run time =70mins, charge time = 70 mins) battery life of the other (90 mins run time, 120mins charge time). All machines can be used on the cord but the cord is a little short for my chair setup. I'm really happy with this purchase, I personally prefer this over the magic clip. If money is no issue then buy the senior, but the super taper is defined the better value option as it does a great job. The only gripe about the super taper cordless is that you need to change the blade screws to zero gap the machine. I used my corded super super's screws and it worked just fine.
