I purchased these cloth napkins to eliminate buying paper napkins for our meals at home. We've used them for several months, and I've been very satisfied with their performance.The fabric is what you'd expect from a cotton/linen blend of this quality. They aren't the smoothest, most lovely napkins. The have some small (totally normal) slubs. They aren't rough but they do have some texture. They clean up hands, faces, and little spills pretty well. The beige color looks earthy and hides some stains. The hems are well stitched, and I haven't noticed any loose threads.They are a bit of a chore to wash and dry. I wash them with my regular towels, but I hang them to dry. If they go in the dryer, they come out terribly wrinkled and misshapen (not permanently, just until they're wet again). I absolutely refuse to take out the ironing board for napkins, so I hang them to dry instead. I take a little time to shape them, then hang them up to dry. The extra effort helps them keep their shape and dry relatively flat and smooth.These are a good buy - decent quality at a good price. I would definitely buy more.

I'm leaving this review a year later because I ordered these last year for Thanksgiving and have now used them twice. The quality is good and they arrived as described. They have held up well under multiple washings. The only thing I will say is that the linen seems to be inconsistent. Some of them are incredibly wrinkled, despite smoothing them out after washing and before putting them in the dryer and after ironing them, and some of them iron very easily. I suppose that's to be expected with linen. They hold their shape *fairly* well. Overall, for the once or twice a year I use them, they're good. I would NOT suggest these if you want to use them more frequently because they really must be ironed to look nice on the table and who has time for that?

As with towels, I've had my fill of white napkins. I can bleach them till the cows come home, but the quickly stain and discolor. Black it is.I wanted everyday napkins, made with cotton. Wrinkling doesn't bother me, I have my iron out once a week as it is anyway, and I appreciate the natural fabric. These are a good size, fairly absorbent, and look nice on the place setting. A good purchase.

They're pretty hefty for the price, but they're also coarse in texture.

These are beautiful! They have a simple elegant look, with the detail around the edging.

We love cloth napkins and use them every day. These are large, soft, and very easy to iron (the corners being the only areas in need of ironing). They are getting softer with each wash as would be expected with 100% cotton. The hems are tight and the fabric holds the shape. After a dozen washes I fully expect these napkins to hold up well. (hint: I did allow them to air dry once and did not need to iron them). Would buy again.Update after many uses and washing: Holding up great after many washes. No fraying, hems are still tight, like new (except softer). I will purchase more of these in the future, slowly replacing all our older napkins.
