I've bought a number of these now and they appear to be a great product but still no paperwork with assurance to confirm they will do what they are supposed to, so I'm changing my original rating as they could simply be an expensive plug with an LED maybe actually neon not even LED.My first review!Handy solution to use if you're likely to plug in your sensitive electronic equipment when traveling and likely to be a standard non protected socket.I would have given it five stars if it came with product specs sheet or some assurance that it'll do what it's supposed to do.

This plug has the advantage that when wired the connections, stripped wire lengths, match the standard UK plastic plug.When live, the top of this plug lets the red LED light through the material. The small indicator light then seems superfluous.The plug seems to be well made and I hope it will be effective.

Saw other positive reviews where folks said they could not tell if the unit was working or not. I can confirm mine is working perfectly. I bought it to fix a mains spike that affected my 3d printer. With plug in place spike has gone and no more interuptions. Great piece of kit for little money.

Looks good and seems to offer good protection The problem with all this kind of stuff you never really know if its working or not. But its not very expensive so better it have it than not.

I bought this for my subwoofer because that plugs into a socket at the side of the romm and therefore could not be protected by my surge protected extension lead that my TV , AV amp, Bluray etc are plugged into. Just the job and easy to fit.

Very clean and simple design. Easy to wire. It's just a "standard" 13A plug in the normal wiring layout, with an extra thick cap containing the surge protection circuit.

Exactly what I required, fitted it to a 6way switched extension lead. My printer, PC & various peripherals which plug int the 6way extension are now all protected. Thank You.
