this Work's Very Good
I bought this a while back and had to use it today and it works well so far even thought i nearly forgot to plug in the power wire to the adaptor. it's a handly little thing incase you are stuck with an old monitor you wouldnt be able to use with a more modern machine.my monitor is not detecting a HDMI Signal and thought my graphics card or monitor died (it could also be a failing power supply) on my main pc (XPS 8930) so i was abe to use this adaptor with the monitor and an old pc (Optiplex 3020) and found out monitor still works so it's likely my graphic card needing replaced. failing that il change the power supply unit as iv swaped out the motherboard already.the only issue is the power supply usb port in the adaptor is a little loose so be careful it dosent slip out when using it and if it fail's always make sure it's getting powered and the wire is in correctly.you may also need to download display drivers for this to work. Here's the type of wire you may need if you havent got onehttps://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=Micro+USB+Cable+Android+Charger+5m&i=electronics&ref=nb_sb_nossyou can power the adaptor directly from the Pc usb (it might casue some screen flickering, etc, on startup but should settle quickly) and alternitivly you can use a usb phone charger make sure it's long enough to reach from pc To power socket.

HDMI source for AR glasses
Bought for use with XREAL One AR glasses as I wanted to be able to use them with a Fire TV Stick in addition to my iPhone/iPad.This box of tricks is tiny - about 50mm x 25mm x 10mm. The HDMI-in is at one end and the USBC-out (to connect to the glasses) at the other, with a USBC 5V power in at the side. This 5V power-in is what really differentiates this from any other HDMI-to-USBC adaptor, because the One glasses do not have their own battery and so need to draw power from the video/audio source - so this adapter passes in the power along with the video/audio. In my case I also had to change the audio source type in the One menu.Of course, having to supply power to this adapter and also having to power the Fire TV Stick itself means that the element of portability and compactness is compromised, you either need to be near mains power or run off a power bank. I typically use the power bank option which does at least keep it portable (and the wifi connection for the Fire TV stick uses tethering on my mobile). As long as you are aware of the compromises/limitations, this adapter does a fine job of providing a HDMI-input to XREAL One AR glasses. It may work with other similar AR glasses too, e.g. other XREAL models, or glasses by Viture.

It doesn't work
It doesn't work. The product came dusty and scratched, so not new. And it's missing the auxiliary cables that it was supposed to come with.

Small but mighty
So I bought this as my mini hdmi became faulty on my portable monitor which made the picture go off.I bought this to take my hdmi devices to a usb c output the quality of the product is goodThw performance isn't affected or limited and even though it is a hefty price of £30It's definitely value you money.ProsIt outputs to usb c from hdmiConsIsn't bidirectional3 port point, may struggle with cable management

Sometimes works, depending on what you need
Only supports a fairly small set of display resolutions. Anything outside of these, which don't seem to be listed anywhere, either won't work at all or will create aggressive flickering. Works fine within its supported resolutions though.

It is what it is
Does what it's meant to. Wanted to add a second screen to my computer set up but my tower only had one hdmi slot and one VGA.Took a bit of work to get it sorted (I was under the impression that I wouldn't need to add one of the cables but turns out I did)I've given it four stars rather than five because sometimes when I boot up my computer the second screen looks like it's about 5mm off screen with the top 5mm of screen just constantly flickering. It's annoying but I don't know whether it's the connection or some other unknown mystery!

Excellent piece of kit
Simple to use and does what it says. Hooked up firestick, ps5 and switch to AR glasses with no problems. Highly recommend.

Works for xreal air pro 2
The description was accurate but some other reviews made me wonder if this would work so I'm posting my review to let you know that this 100% works with xreal air glasses. It also allows the audio to come through which some other adapters do not. I have the official adapter but this is better as it has to be powered, the official one is a battery which I don't prefer but I kept it as it could be of use where plug sockets become an issue but for my home I use this adapter with my ps5.If you are having issues with this, it is something wrong in your set up, either you are hooking up through some sort of switch selecter or trying to connect to something that has some incompatible display output but I have used this with a PS5, Sky Q, Fire TV and a portable dvd player so it does work. Make sure you are directly connected to the item if you have issues and then slowly introduce other items like switches back in to identify if you are having trouble.Obviously for less than £30 you do not get a set of £450 glasses with it so please ignore those reviews as they really should not have been allowed to be posted, you will never get a free pair of £450 glasses with an item costing £30Great compact unit
