Good for BMW E38 transmission oil pipe
Although the packaging states suitability for Ford and GM, I have successfully used the red insert for my 2000 E38 750iL transmission oil cooler pipes. My pipe collars had broke. Make sure you apply plenty of WD-40 to the pipe ends before hand. 20 seconds of toing and froing and the pipes were off. A mechanic quoted me £70 to take the pipes off because he had a "special disconnect tool". A good product from Lisle.

Might be a bit flimsy, but saved my bacon on a jag fuel pipe.

Surprisingly durable
I bought these to release the air con pipes in my smart roadster. The pipes are under the car. After about ten minutes, they released. Being plastic I thought they would break easily, but they have lasted well

Liked the concept and the selection.
Good assortment of sizes and i liked the idea but unfortunately not robust enough for my application. I wanted to replace the fuel filter on my Saab 95. The diameter of one of these items is perfect but even though I had used WD 40 to penetrate fitting this tool would not move the clip no matter how I pulled pipe while levering the tool with a range of items. Gave up because it was getting to the point where I could damage fitting and end up with a bigger job. The car had 90k plus miles and was 14 years old so They probably were not designed for this task and I was probably expecting too much from them.

simple tool for a pain in the you know what problem!
Pulling your dash to fix heater core? Needing to disconnect all those quick snap locking hoses you never could disconnect without cutting and destroying in the process? Tell you what, you don't need to spend a bunch of money on aluminum ones, or single diameter tool. This rack of many different sizes is so simple and works so good you won't believe it. simply slide the ring behind the hose you want to disconnect and push/pull it into the quick release collar of the hose and Volia'! Hose is off! Easy, Quick, clean disconnect. All sorts of sizes with this set and has been everything I have needed to do Heater core hoses, HVAC hoses, any hose with a quick lock collar you will be able to remove with ease. Great addition to your shop tool box that I wish I would have discovered years ago. These would have saved me a lot of headaches over the years. Now you can get them cheap and easy in this set. I had no idea they would work so well. The plastic slides along the hoses and into the lock collar easy and then just push in to disconnect the tabs and the hoses release. You are done in like 10 seconds. No fuss no muss. I love these things! Shawn in Canada

They Do the Trick
No glamor to this product. If you need these little tools, then you're really going to appreciate them. There's probably a way to disconnect refrigerant lines without them, but this makes it really simple. Price is fair. They come in standard sizes and fit on a nice little rack. I don't know that I will ever use them again for the rest of my life, but I'm glad I bought them. They made the job easier.
