WORKS GREAT and GREAT PURCHASE / Have NO Doubt
I have one of these traps on every floor of my house. The photos show in picture on, the blue light is off. In picture two, the blue light is on. This particular trap is plugged in a tight sqeeze, corner plug outlit, between a wall and a couch end table. The end table has a plant on it that attracts annoying fruitflies and regular flies. In the photos you can see the flies it has attracted. It is sticky on both sides. I unplug the trap before I removed the pad with the dead fruitflies on it. I use a plastic, disposable glove to remove the glue catcher. You can buy refills and I have. I have one of these in my kitchen by fruit bowl. This works. This is a smaller, convenient, fruiti fly catcher and worth every penny. FIVE STARS and I have four now. The Spring and Summer is when the glue sheets get changed more often because they are filled on both sides. The fall and the winter the glue sheets last much longer. I am very happy with this product that I have given one as a gift to a dear friend who also has indoor plants that attract flies.

This WORKS beautifully!!!
Want to get rid of those annoying fruit gnats? This is the real deal. I live in South Florida. Those annoying fruit gnats just drove us crazy. I bought this item and it works!!! I bought 2 of them for the kitchen. Within a day, both sticky little paper boards were filled with gnats. We haven’t seen any more gnats!! I love this product and its effectiveness. It’s worth every penny because it works.

Excellent for fruit flies, for the rest time will tell...
I wasn't sure about these, but am so sick of fly strips and the smell from a zapper was willing to give them a try. Not thrilled at the price as they seem rather expensive for what you get. (And these are the cheaper version, yikes. ) Overall though, they seem to be working well. Absolutely recommended if you have a fruit fly problem. After the first few hours our first trap in the kitchen was covered in fruit flies (kids old banana, sigh). We purchased them for each bathroom and one for the kitchen as we live in the country and flies are an issue here. We have begun to see some houseflies on these, so they are doing the trick. More aesthetically pleasing than our previous tactics and so far are mostly working. Much easier to deal with to change sticky trap on them and they still work at night! Do yourself a favor and purchase extra yellow sticky cards depending on your fly issues, they only come with a couple. I am thinking about buying one more for near the back door...the price kinda kills me though. It takes the bigger house flies a bit to find them. No doubt they would work well for mosquitos at the cabin, etc. I mean, it's got a special light but feels like an exalted night light with a sticky trap slot. Oh well. Try one and see.

Effective
It's ugly, but it's very effective. It's rewarding that you can see how many bugs have been caught. The hard part is finding a place to put it that's central enough for the bugs to find it but not obvious enough that you have to see it all the time.

Excellent for Gnats
I have been dealing with a gnat infestation over the last few weeks. I didn't remove the initial gnat quickly enough and it started multiplying. I've never had much luck with the water and vinegar homemade traps, and swatting them manually wasn't cutting it. I bought two of these and placed them in two areas of my apartment where I most frequently saw the gnats. After a few hours both traps had a few gnats on them. I was impressed with how quickly it started trapping them, and I was under the impression there were only a few gnats flying around, so it felt like it had already done its job. I left the traps on over night and when I woke up both traps had dozens of gnats. It had to have caught thirty or more on each trap. I'm stunned and haunted at how many more gnats were in here than I thought, but also extremely pleased with how excellently these traps were working. The traps are pretty unintrusive, so I plan to leave them active until I quit seeing new gnats get stuck. I'll also be spraying some pesticide on the soil of my potted plants to keep them from breeding further.Setting the trap up is pretty easy. You peel both sides of a sticky card and slide it into the small light fixture, which you plug into an outlet. I've seen some fly traps where the adhesive becomes a disgusting mess, but I'm pleased to report that these are very clean and well made—no dripping adhesive. Flip it on and leave it be. I haven't changed the cards on either trap yet, but I cannot imagine it being any more difficult than setting them up was. There's a possibility the adhesive isn't strong enough for larger bugs, so your mileage may vary. But, if you're dealing with gnats, I cannot recommend this enough. It's easier and less smelly than the homemade vinegar/water traps.Update: I've had these for a few days now and I get the impression it's slowly decreasing the number of gnats in my apartment. I've coupled these traps with some plant safe contact killer, which I've been treating my potted plants with. Changing the sticky pads is as easy as I assumed. I've actually ordered two more traps and a large refill pack. This is probably overkill, but knowing I'll have these available whenever I spot a pest in my place is worth the price. Even if you don't have an active pest issue, it's worth having these packed away for the peace of mind.

Might not be bright enough?
This 2023 upgrade of the Flying Insect Trap Plug-In offers a unique approach to pest control. Its primary advantage lies in its non-toxic and safe design, making it an ideal choice for households. The UV light, aimed at attracting insects, is a clever feature, although its effectiveness is somewhat limited. The brightness of the UV light doesn't seem to be sufficient to lure a large number of insects. However, once the bugs are trapped, the device proves extremely efficient. The stickiness of the trap ensures that once pests are caught, they cannot escape. This combination of safety and stickiness makes it a decent, albeit not perfect, solution for minor insect problems.

Works!
Works better than expected tbh. Traps a lot more bugs than I realized were in the kitchen. Worth it.

Works well but doesn't last long
This worked great to take care of the problem I had with gnats. Unfortunately it gave out after about 14 months. I have other night lights that have lasted much longer, and thought this one would also.
