I do a lot of 3D printing, but sometimes plastic parts just don't give you the rigidity that a project needs. This kit gives you everything you'll need to throw something together very quickly. And I especially like that the Makerbeam XL is designed to work with standard M3 nuts, so you don't have to worry about buying the (relatively) expensive T-slot nuts unless you absolutely need them. Unfortunately, the case I received was shattered in a couple of places. It still holds together, but I can't help but think that this could have been avoided with a bit more padding than the saran/bubble wrap combination that the case was wrapped in. I tried three iterations of a solution until I got it right. The tools in the kit are nice quality. Overall pleased with this purchase. The only gripe is t he price.
