These locks are legit; heavy duty enough to deter any quick thefts. As the listing states, these are especially perfect for Pelican cases. I have mine on a Pelican v730 mounted to a roof rack, and I have no concerns of anybody messing with it. Being able to key them to any combination so that one key opens a whole collection of locks is a great feature. Hopefully you don’t lose track of one of your keys though :| don’t hesitate buying these for a Pelican case if you’re considering them. They're well worth the money

Real quality locks, perfect for keeping your pelican case secure! - I put these locks on my smaller pelican 1170 case, although I had to drill the case holes a smidge larger for the shackle to fit snugly. Looks so great I even got a compliment from TSA when they inspected the case!

I purchased this for a Pelican case which I use for my work laptop. It has a pin which is used instead of a normal shackle, so it takes two hands to get the lock off and on. Which is fine, as it provides not just added security and resistance from being cut off or twisted off. It isn't key-retaining, but the key has to be turned for the pin to be inserted or removed, which is a good thing, as it helps ensure you didn't lock your keys in the case, and nobody is going to be able to shim the padlock.Overall, there isn't much to be said about a padlock, other than that it addresses the known attack methods well enough. It has six pin tumblers with security pins, which help there. Fairly easy to rekey with a hex wrench, which is a good thing if one loses a key. Its design resists bolt cutters and physical attack. Nothing is 100% secure, but it does as good as one can get, especially if one uses it for road trips.Definitely something I would buy again for the theft deterrence factor.

Ultimately a thief can break their way through the shell of the case with several hard strikes from a hammer, but I do believe this is the best lock possible for such a case. To defeat the lock, I do believe a thief would have to cut through the head of the bolt with an angle grinder, and I think breaking through the case would be easier for them.And as always, Paclock has designed the lock very well, with integrity and attention to detail, with no available bypasses, and to be difficult to pick, and difficult to bump. And you can choose your own key to match other locks, or just to have biting that makes lockpicking even more challenging.I highly recommend this lock, and pretty much any lock made by Paclock.

The UCS-444A seems like a good lock for carrying cases, but I can't use them with my Pelican 1510 case. The UCS-444A shackle does not go all the way through the padlock holes in the case on either side of the latches. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the UCS-444A or my case, I have to investigate further.Additionally the keys Paclock supplied for my purchase appear unfinished. Referring to the photos, there are slivers of metal flattened down where the keys have been cut. It looks like they didn't bother deburring the cuts, or their key cutting machine isn't cutting quite all the way.
