I just like to make sure I get the vocabulary back to back so I’m kinda hoping I didn’t just waste my money

240 Vocab is a good resource for 3 gr kids. It's thoughtfully done and nicely presented.

The word “puzzled” is in one of the WORD BANKS and as he’s about to finish one of the sentences, he was getting confused and said “Mom, my head is puzzled, I can’t find the word for this sentence.” I was so proud of him. This kid love to talk but sometimes he doesn’t know what word to use to explain what he is trying to say and this has helped him a lot! 🥰 100 % recommend!

I am not a English native speaker and I've been learning English for years. Sometimes I read English articles and seem to understand mostly. What always make me pause reading is those Synonyms. One day I found this serious books. I have to admit those words on the cover I have not idea what they mean and this made me feel bad cause they are supposed to be for children. So I bought them and conquer them! The books use a very easy way to let people(children) understand and remember. The only thing is the price is kinda high, more than $10 for a very thin book(they are about 80 pages each book.) But since I couldn't find them in regular bookstores and it did develop my vacabulary in a joyful way so I love them.

Great for homeschooling! The layout is perfect, explains definition, gives examples, bold certain words for learning. Will purchase more in the future!

I bought all four books in this series - 240 words each for 3rd to 6th grades - and use the books constantly working with foreign students from Vietnam. My bright, hard-working students need vocabulary for their upcoming college careers, but they need to start at a much lower level. The words featured are important and interesting - not baby words - and every day we see the words we've been working on in the newspaper and hear them on the radio. We use our new words whenever we're talking with each other and smile as we incorporate these more challenging words into our conversations. I'm sure native English speakers will get a lot out of these books too!)

If you want your child to eventually do well on the college entrance exams, they MUST have an advanced vocabulary. The way the SAT exams are set up groups word into synonyms, antonyms, etc. This is exacly how this book is structured. Each lesson is set up with 3 pages. I use one page each day of the week with a final test on the last day. The daily pages provide review of the week's 10 word list. These word are more advanced than your child will learn in any public school. I highly reccommend this for home schoolers or those who want to get ahead of the curve in vocabulary.

I homeschool my son and have been using this book to help build his vocabulary. Up until this year, he attended public school and has a very limited vocabulary. I rip a page out of the book every school day and he does the front and back of the page. He actually enjoys learning new words and doing the work. I plan on getting 240 Vocabulary Words 4th Grade Kids Need To Know: 24 Ready-to-Reproduce Packets That Make Vocabulary Building Fun & Effective when he finishes this book. His vocabulary is expanding and the work is painless.

This book taught my daughter lots of new words. My daughter said that this book is fun. It teaches you names of baby animals and parts of boats. I think it is worth it. I recommend you buy this workbook because it is fun and it teaches you lots of new words.

バイリンガルの息子の単語力をつけるために購入しました。書くレッスンごとに１０個の単語が紹介されますが、その時に同義語として１０個の言葉が使われますので、合計２０個の単語を練習することになります。もちろん、３年生までに習得されていると思われる単語での説明がされているのですが、個人差があるので両方知らないこともあります。問題は、読めれば簡単にできる程度ですが、同じ１０個の単語について３回のレッスンページがあります。同じ１０個の単語を、パズルにしたり、選択問題にしたり、文脈の中で空欄を埋めたりと飽きないように創られています。 低学年用のようにカラフルではないし、絵も少ないですが、平均１０分〜１５分ぐらいで１ページできるので、毎日のドリルに最適かと思います。英語を独学で勉強している小中高校生、英検２級位までの単語力向上の目的では利用価値があるかと思います。価格もお手頃で、価値ある１冊かと思います。英語の総合実力向上のためには、問題に出てくる単語で発音のわからない単語は、電子辞書やコンピュータで発音練習をお勧めします。

I bought this according to the reviews.but very sad the grammar explanation is very simple didn’t have a lot of exercises and samples for the kids
