## Description

Blue Jeans Cable’s LC-2 Analog Audio Cable is optimized for the needs of unbalanced (“RCA”) audio interconnection. In unbalanced audio, noise rejection is primarily a function of shield effectiveness at audio frequencies – LC-2 has not one but two high-coverage copper braid shields, laid one on top of the other, providing high coverage, excellent audio-frequency shield performance, and low resistance to ground at both ends. With its small center conductor and large foamed dielectric, LC-2 also provides low capacitance – about 12 pF/foot – to limit high-frequency rolloff. These cables carry our Taversoe RCA plug, a brass-bodied design with gold-plated contact surfaces and a leaf-spring ground contact for firm engagement with the jack. LC-2 cables are assembled in our shop in Seattle, Washington.

Note that the plugs are quite long and so are not suitable to go in confined spaces. The cable is also thick and not very pliant so consider this when buying.

## Features

- UNIQUE DESIGN: LC-2 isn’t a standard stock cable; we designed it specifically to optimize performance in unbalanced (“RCA”) analog audio, with coaxial geometry but with lower capacitance and better shielding than any ordinary coax.
- HEAVY SHIELDING: LC-2 is shielded with two high-coverage bare copper braids, one laid directly over the other. This provides the best possible shield performance at audio frequencies and lowest resistance to help prevent ground loop hum.
- LOW NOISE: Not only does our shield configuration provide effective EMI reduction, but it also avoids the problems with triboelectric noise which “combination” shields can cause – particularly important with low signal levels such as phonograph connections.
- LOW CAPACITANCE: Capacitance in interconnects can cause high-frequency rolloff. The large spacing between shield and center conductor, and the use of a highly foamed dielectric, keep LC-2’s capacitance around 12 pF/foot.
- HIGH FLEX: LC-2 is a thick cable – but is surprisingly flexible, with a soft PVC jacket and foam dielectric.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Instant cure for hum

Miracles do happen. Was using a Kimber Tonik from my Audio Tecnica AT650 SUT to my Icon Audio pre amp. There was this monster hum from the onset. After some research, bought these cables. They're a kinda stiff so going around corners will be a problem. But what a result.....Hooray no more hum or it's now been pushed into the inaudible range. Thank you BJC.
