Impressively loud, good value
Yes, it's a bit bulky, but it's impressively shrill and loud. To activate, remove small plastic strip on back of item, under strap. Then press small black button on front. Great deterrent. Sounds almost like a car alarm. Suspect only the most determined attacker would stick around. Test it at arm's length to spare your hearing and switch off by pressing small black button on underside. Would def buy again, for myself and others. If you're big on personal safety also carry a bright torch to shine in an attacker's eyes. It's not pleasant but then neither is being potentially fatally attacked. Stay safe.

It is chunky on her tiny wrist and there could do with being a finer version, but I guess that is the logistics ...
Feeling safer- After a traumatic experience that has marred my child's teenage years this handy device contributes along with her comforting Gentleman bear to getting her through a day at college or going shopping. Having the alarm is only part of the security. Knowing their are individuals who will respond and protect a child in distress needs to be the other half of the equation. It is chunky on her tiny wrist and there could do with being a finer version, but I guess that is the logistics of the wonderfully piercing alarm.

Cheap but effective
Bought for my father-in-law who was beginning to have falls at home. Sadly never got to use it as he suffered a fatal stroke not long after we got this. Although it looks cheap, it does the job. The alarm is loud enough to be heard all over any decently sized home. The only drawbacks are the tiny buttons used to set off and turn off the alarm. Why the de-activator has to be round the back I don't know. Maybe a redesign is in order with largish green and red buttons on the front for on and off.

Alzheimer's patient that falls
This is perfect for my Dad bless him he desperately wants to cling on to his gardening but it's so hard for him, if he falls no one hears him. We only live across the street so when Dad hits the button we'll hear the alarm (we've tested it & it's super loud. Perfect!) We can dash across & help him, it's genius! We love it & we know Dad can enjoy a few hours around his garden without us watching him.

Impossible for an elderly person to operate
The large button is so difficult to push that an elderly person is very unlikely to be able to operate it. The high pitched alarm sounds very loud to the operator but the sound does not carry well and is difficult to hear, even within a house.

Quite a good product
Unfortunately due to my grandparents being rather deaf over a long range they can not hear the alarm. However, the product was reseasonably priced and arrived in a very good condition. Within close proximity the alarm is quite useful .
