Apparently, most Wii U gamepads are suffering from a manufacturing defect that causes the left analog stick to get stuck and "scroll" unintendedly. If you value using your Wii U gamepad and don't want to spend $80-$120 dollars for Nintendo to fix it. I highly recommend buying this! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My controller works like new, again. *by S***J on Reviewed in the United States on 6 July 2017* My problem was with the left analogue stick on my game pad. For some games, like Zelda, this is the control that allows you to walk or move Link around. For other games like Mario Kart it is the control that allows you to steer. My problem was that when I released the stick it was slow to return to center, so Link would keep walking, though more slowly than before I released, for at least a few more steps before coming to a stop, and I could not stand in a specific place because of the over walking problem. For Mario Kart, I could not go strait. I was always turning to some degree or another. Menu selection was almost impossible, and I had to use either the d-pad or the touch screen, as the analogue stick would float past the selection I wanted, and stop an a different option.I tried cleaning the controller as recommended by Nintendo. This had little benefit, and only for a short time. I also confirmed that it was not that the controller needed to be reset, as it did eventually center, just not quickly like it did when it was new.So, I ordered this Analogue Stick with PCB Board along with some triwing screw drivers. It took me less than 15 minutes to open up and make the change. I only changed the defective left analogue stick, so if the right breaks on my later I'll still have that part. If you want to know how to replace the part, there are video tutorials on youtube. Look for them and learn how to do it. As you open it, be sure to keep track of everything that you take apart so that you can put it together in the same way. The trickiest part for me was the volume slider. I did not remove it intentionally, and when I moved the controller it fell out and almost became lost. I had to try several orientations before I fit it in correctly in a way that connected properly.After I put everything back together I tried it out and it worked like it was new again. It responds quickly and snaps back to center when I release it. Menu selection and in game controls work as they used to.
