Solid knowledge
Likely the best of the best of the bodybuilding and fitness magazines. Has a lot of presentations, in quite brief, readable form, or scientific studies, of diet, sleep, and other factors. Has workout routines, and good tips. Like most magazines of this type, you have to plow through the endless pages of supplement ads you've seen before, but face it they keep it the magazine affordable. There is no issue I've gotten that I haven't turned down the edge of a page or stuck a post-it onto for future reference.;Helpful for those at any level. Some of the tips are easily incorporated into your own routine.

Not the same magazine it used to be......
I've been a MD reader for NLT 30 years. IMO it got REALLY good in the 1990s into the 2010s, when there were TONs of really good pix & articles written/ghostwritten by top bodybuilders. Now this magazine in 90%+ ads and "advertorial" articles. There are still lots of good pictures, but the majority of what made MD THE best bodybuilding magazine, is now gone. Not only is the magazine now primarily advertisements, but it is now also considerably fewer pages than it used to be. Don't believe me? Pick up any copy from the 90's and compare the ratios of ads-to-articles to a 2020 copy. 2020 was the first year I subscribed and it will be the last.

Bodybuilding
Last of the hardcore bodybuilding magazines. Was subscribing to M & F but they replaced it with a Men's feel good Mag. Very pleased with Muscular Development.

A magazine more about the ads than the content
Muscular development is one of the better magazines out there on the subject of body-building, but although the average issue is almost an inch thick, there are usually only 10-20 pages of worthwhile content. Don't get me wrong. The content in those 10-20 pages is great. Very informational and entertaining to read. Great health and sex tips as well as nutrition and training information. Where this magazine goes very wrong is the advertising. While nearly all magazines are going to have advertising, Muscular Development goes way overboard. Many of the advertisements are 6-10 page ads that appear to be an actual article, but are just an oversized advertisement for the latest and greatest label on the same stuff every other company is selling. While the advice in every magazine is very good, they allow advertisements that completely contradict the information inside. The magazine comes off as hypocritical in that sense.Although Muscular Development has the best content of any of the body building magazines, the excessive ads forced me to cancel my subscription.

Serious body building
Ordered for my husband who loves it. Men’s fitness and muscle and development were not what he was looking for. This is for the hard core man.
