They work for me.
They force you too "snap" your punch instead of "pushing" with your fist.

Liked it, but not enough to replace the blue one.
I really wish you could just buy one. It's has a *little* more resistance than the blue one, but not enough to justify the price seeing as I already own the original blue model. If you don't already have the blue evnik and are in reasonable shape, you could easily jump right to these black ones in my opinion.
