Wish I had discovered these sooner!
As an new avid disc golfer, so glad I discovered these. Every time I recieved a slippery disc in the mail, they always went into the spares bag. (The downfall of ordering discs online as a beginner) Now with these gloves, which replaced the chock, ALL my discs feel the same - nice and grippy the way I like them. No more slippery discs in the spares bag - I can use them all! That alone is worth the money spent let alone the improvement in my game. And no, using these gloves does NOT not cause grip lock! Great product - would def buy again.

Disc Golf Gloves
I wasn't sure if a Large size(which I thought I would be X-Large) would work, but when I threw some discs, to my surprise it fits great! My disc didn't slip it was still grippy like I was using my bare hands! It was comfortable! I think it was worth the money! Keeps my unused hand from getting cold and I'll definitely use them in cold semi-cold temps when frisbeeing.

Great for consistent friction when the weather is not your friend.
The first time I wore these was because I had thrown my disc into salmonberry bushes, which have thorns, but not so bad that they require thick leather gloves. My Friction Gloves allowed me to push through the vines without thinking about thorns. But mainly, they are made for wet or frosty weather. I'm an old guy with fingertips that are hard & slick like Teflon when they're cold and dry, and slick like anybody else's when wet. On a cold morning round of disc golf, these gloves give me good, consistent grip, and save me from having to mess with handwarmers. When the morning starts out frosty, but warms up, I seldom take the gloves off, unless it gets too hot. They're that comfortable, and their friction that consistent. I don't need them on every round, but over the past two years, I have worn them between 15 and 20 times, and I can't see any wear. If I ever do wear these out or lose them, I'll replace them with exactly the same product.

Reasonable effectiveness and durability
I've probably thrown a thousand discs with this glove, seems to be wearing out acceptably. A wild guess would be 5,000 throws before it breaks down, keep in mind I'm old and don't torque the disc very much, 350ft/110m max. I imagine if it wears out in one little spot, you can cut off another part of the glove, say the pinky, and glue it onto the worn area, maybe that will work. You might want to alter your grip or swing motion to lessen any ripping force onto your glove, that will certainly make it last longer and will probably improve your swing as well. As to effectiveness, I am pleased. Again I do not put pro level torque or spin on my disc, but I have had acceptable grip results dry or wet, backhand or forehand. Note that the glove is not waterproof, your hands will be wet-ish in the rain. I threw in 40° rain and was not freezing my hands off, if that means anything for you. It seems like the glove gets wet, but doesn't hold any water in the glove to make your hand overly cold. The main advantage of this glove is that it eliminates for me the necessity of bringing a towel. You pick up your wet disc off the ground, whack off the mud and rain against a tree trunk or rock or shoe etc, then maybe wipe off a little bit of the disc with your off hand and you are ready to go. Should not take more than 5 seconds. No more endless cleaning of your disc, sticking your belongings under an umbrella just right, negotiating different rags, all that nonsense is gone. Maybe you can stick one of those tiny microfiber rags in your pocket, but I don't even need that. Now, all you need to play is some discs, a mini, your glove, a raincoat with a hoodie/hat, good waterproof disc golf shoes, and you are good to go in any weather. Eliminating all this cleaning/drying/maintenance nonsense will take a couple strokes off your game right there, you can concentrate on your game instead of logistics. I read that they now have some surfers wax type of compound you can rub on your discs to make it grip better, I do not know how this rain glove will work in tandem with that. I will give this five stars if it lasts as long as I suspect it will, I can't imagine what the manufacturer could do to improve it except perhaps replaceable fingertips on the first three fingers? Also after 5,000 throws the velcro might start to fail. In ball golf, gloves usually fail on the thumb and the callused palm portion of the hand, usually due to bad swing mechanics.

These actually work!
Recently ordered these for the first time and used them at Westy Acres in Greenfield, MA. Temps were upper 30s. These gloves did a good job of keeping the chill off my hands and I consistently got off great long distance throws. Didn't take long for me to not even be aware that I was wearing the gloves as I was playing - they were that comfortable. Please note that these won't keep your hands warm in below freezing temps - they're not designed for that as the material is thin. But if you'd like to extend your playing season into the cooler months, these are a great option. Also have very small hands (female) and was pleasantly surprised that the Small Women's actually fit my tiny hands!

great gloves for disc golf!

Excellent grip in rain or sweat—rubberized palms keep the disc locked in without over-gripping, and control feels consistent on backhand and forehand throws. Comfortable and snug with good feel; great for cold, wet weather.

good for throwing, but material is thinner than expected. Very flexible though. overall a good glove.
