Michael Jackson: A Life in Music Paperback – Illustrated, October 1, 2009

This book is a guide to his music song by song from the early days all the way up to the historyAlbum and covers a little info on the invincible album it as quotes from Michael there is info on some of his siblings but there is a book by Joseph Vogel called man in music which is myFavorite book of this type .

A bit deep in places, being so wrote about there's little new here however an acceptable addition to the collection

This book does list every piece of music that Michael Jackson released, and gives basic info on dates, labels and sales. Fair enough! The reason I don't like this book at all is that the author gives his opinion on every track, and it comes across very clearly that he is very critical of Michael and his musical genious. For me, I couldn't believe the type of sneering reviews that the author has given. One of the few exceptions was his review of THRILLER, but even that was lukewarm compared to every other opinion ever written about the magic of that song and the accompanying video, (or short film as Michael preferred to call his fantastic videos). Whether you are an avid fan of Michael Jackson or not, surely his life in music does not deserve to be reviewed with even a molescule of patronising contempt. Everyone acknowledges Michael's talent. I have no idea of who this author is and what his background in music may be, but I do think that he is very foolish to try to disect - in such an unfavourable way - the music of a man who captured the hearts of people all around the world. This is what came over to me throughout this book. It's just my opinion and the next person may not agree, but I really did not like the author's tone in practically every review. I think that he is clearly critical of Michael and it shows, so maybe he should have given info on dates and sales etc, and kept his opinions to himself.

価格と表紙デザインに魅力を感じ、購入しました。第一印象としては、カラーが非常に少ない事。全体のページ数はそこそこ多いものの、カラーが８ページしかありませんでした。白黒のページも全体的に写真が少なく、小さい感じがします。洋書の為、文字が多いと非常につらいかなって個人的に思える本でした。紙質も決して良いとは思えません。
