Perfetto Bamboo Fibre Sponge Bamboom-Duo-2 Pieces-Assorted Colour, Multi, One Size

So I purchased these sponges thinking that I was helping the environment by using something that was natural and biodegradable. BUT NO! After a few months of using one of these it ripped open and inside I can confirm is a plastic sponge! Another reviewer also stated this but I didn't see the review until just now so I thought I'd confirm that it wasn't a one off.The outside is very good, it does not stain even after washing up pasta sauce but its such a shame that the inside is a plastic sponge. Not every eco-friendly at all. ALSO the item comes packaged in a plastic bag!

I think this product is amazing. It does the job, it is just like a "normal" sponge. The major difference is that it lasts a lot longer and it DOES NOT SMELL. I am telling you, I have the same sponge for months now and it does not smell and it does the job. I've put it in the wash machine a couple of times and I think the washer ruined the sewing of the sponge. Will definatelly buy it again.

I wanted a more eco-friendly alternative, but underneath the nice bamboo casing, it's just the same type of plastic sponge. The bamboo lining starting getting a hole in it within in just a couple weeks' of use and after only one wash. They do seem to wash and scrub well though. It just doesn't seem to have more durability than a regular (artificial) sponge does and it costs a lot more... and it's a regular sponger underneath...!

They are excellent to wash with but fall apart very easily. So I am disappointed with this purchase. I will need to look for something more durableEDIT. Sowed it back up & it’s still going a month later.. maybe this is part of learning to be more eco.. if it’s broke, fix it, don’t just throw it away!

Arrived on time, well packaged.I really like these pads, they're incredibly durable. I purchased them a while back and they're still going strong!Easy to wash in the washing machine, foam up nicely with the washing-up-liquid and good for washing the dishes or general cleaning.Also has a better impact on the environment. Overall pleased with this purchase and would buy again :)

We thought we'd give these a try as we hate going through so many sponges in the kitchen and we absolutely love them. Not scratch very soft, when squished they are thin and just throw into the wash after a while and new again. Need a harder scrubby for heavy duty we have a metal sponge for that

I didn't like this. The scrubby side wasn't scrubby enough for my washing up so I had to use a scourer as well, which defeated the whole point of getting this one. I did run it through the washing machine a few times, then it started to come unstitched. I found some different ones in Lakeland which are much better.

They are very good. After a while they start smelling a bit, but probably I should wash them in the washing machine once and let them dry completely. Only cons is that they don't scrap well enough, so you need also a brush to take away the tough stains and dirt.
