These air filters work just as well and the name brand ones. My A/C person said he has not found any notable difference between the more expensive filters and the lesser expensive ones. I had been paying about the same price for two filters. They are sturdy and work for me.

I'm happy with these filters. They are an odd size that my hardware store doesn't carry so it was nice to be able to order these in bulk for a fraction of the price I would pay at Ace. They do what they are supposed to do so I'm happy. The build quality is good, fit is right on.

These filters are a good replacement for my air ducts. They collect a few different microparticles to keep the air cleaner. I do replace them every 3 months and they do need that. But all filters should be replaced every three months. These fit perfectly in the vent. Some filters do not fit as well as these do. There is a spot to mark the date you put them in which i like as a reminder to replace. The cardboard around the filter is a decent thickness so it does not get crunched when installing. The price is better than local brick and mortar stores. very happy with these.

I need a solid filter to install because of the build of my system. These work just fine and seem to trap better than the cheapos. If they were a bit less expensive this would be a Five Star.

I just bought these so I don't know how well they work yet, but they fit perfectly and you cannot beat that price! I will update when I change it, which I have to every 2 weeks because I have hairy dogs and it gets EVERYWHERE.

Merv 8 is the recommended filtering number for most average sized homes, ( 2,000-3,000 sq ft ), HVAC systems. A higher MERV number strains the blower motor by making the motor work harder to get air, which can lead to motor failure. A lower MERV number reduces the amount of dust & dander being filtered in the air of the house. That being said, there are many MERV 8 filters to chose from. Bottom line, there all the same with a different name. Yes, you will pay more for a "name brand" filter. But, you're just paying extra for advertising, in my opinion. These filters are built well, fit true to size, and do the job. Lastly, and most IMPORTANTLY, is that you must replace any filter every 30 days. So, that's 12 filters a year. These were priced right, so I bought a bunch of them. Clean filters will keep the duct work clear of dust buildup. So, it pays to replace them every 30 days, or you will be hiring a contractor to clean out you're ducts.

they were perfect. The filters were great and I liked the 6 pk. Saved in cost and trips to get them. A big thanks to amazon. I would have to drive 20 mi. 1 way to get them, U bought 1 at a time, and U had to hunt for them. I'm old retired and handy caped. Now I only leave town is ta go fishing. Thanks again.
