Mixed feelings
I preordered this brick from Amazon (shipped and sold from) for about $142 and change.Brick arrived sealed with Wizkids wrapping so I knew there wasn’t any tampering.The quality of the actual minis is great. The paint application seems to get better with every series they put out.The designs are all straight out of the monster manuals and look really accurate… for the most part.I got 4 duplicates in my brick, including a duplicate camel (Not sure how much use I’ll get out of two camels). That’s a whole duplicate blind-box worth. Roughly a $17 value for the rate I purchased it at. Not a good feeling.Packaging is still a problem that continues to plague Wizkids. Several figures are bent in one way or another and will need to be heated and straightened.Overall, when I finished unwrapping everything, I was left feeling a little disappointed with the perceived value of what I just spent over $140 on. Something that was closer to $100 three years ago.But that’s just my opinion.My advice is to wait for it to go on sale. It’s a good set, just not for $140.
